1. Minutes of Meeting
1- Date: 9/11/2016
Location: King Solomon High School, Forest Road, Ilford IG6 3HB, Room 126
Purpose of Meeting: Make sure progression is up to date (e.g. making sure our
Initial Meeting Discussion Points have been addressed within the group, making sure
that our schedule is being arranged and that progression on our treatment is being
made). For this meeting, we are making sure that our standards and requirements
are being targeted and worked on and that we are all still on task to meet those
requirements and not fall behind.
Members Present: All four members present for today’s meeting
Pardons for Absence: There have been no pardons for absence as we have full
attendance for today’s meeting.
Issues raised:
- Roles: During this meeting, we decided the roles that we will assign ourselves
to. These roles include: Director, Co-ordinator, Risk Assessment Manager
and Budget Allocator. We have discussed having these roles so that we
understand that both as a team and the individual work that are required from
us and that so we make sure that we are organised in order for our progress
throughout our production is made.
- Style: We have also discussed the style of our song. This means that we
have talked about the emotions that will be represented in our song with our
music video. After listening to the song, we did think that the song could
include SOME aspects of seriousness (as to us, the song does not sound
depressing, but we could imagine what the scenario would be like for
someone in real life.) But, as a group, we also thought that we could add
SOME aspects humour as sometimes one’s journey to love and happiness
may not be just serious, there are things that are funny that could happen to
someone experiencing love or not. However, the combination of the two
broadcasting emotions to some may not be seen as conventional. Which is
why as a group, we decided that if the song was going to contain humour and
seriousness, the main characters cannot be broadcasting these two emotions
frequently and that the humour can be shown by extras/ characters in the
background (or those characters that are not that involved in the love journey
shown in the music video. But we do not want to go over the top with humour

2. as we don’t want the audience to take the story too lightly, as it
could have a bad impact on the meaning and depthness of the
music video.

Purpose of Meeting: To discuss what each individual will be covering over the
period of this week. Covering the ‘Treatment’ of the pre-production as well as the
budget such as props, costumes and travel. There was ideas raised for the
completion of our story for the music video.

Issues raised: Issues were raised such as some ideas for the ending of the story to
our music video. It was good idea yet did not match the requirements needed. This is
as it is predictable and our music video is meant to be as original as can be. Ideas
needed to complete the ‘Treatment’.

3. Location: King Solomon High School, Forest Road, Ilford IG6 3HB,

Purpose of Meeting: the purpose of this meeting is for our group to discuss what
role each individual will be involved in, the tasks that we each will be covering this
week is the script which needs to be discussed and completed, the script is to be
split into two parts draft one and draft two. Draft One will be the analysis and rough
copy of the script to give us an idea of what the script is going to be about, draft two
is the complete professional version of our script.

Issues raised:
The issue raised is yet still trying to find a girl who will play the role of Rihanna who is
a character in our music video and is Christopher’s (Mustafa) girlfriend. This is
important and needs be done as soon as possible as we need to to start filming
sometime soon. She needs to be flexible with timings and able to be consistent and
devoted in our productions as we will be going to different locations on specific dates
and timings, so a flexible actor/actress is a definite.

4. Purpose of Meeting: The purpose of this meeting is to see what we
need to next progress on to, due to the fact that we have finished our
first draft of the script, and we’re currently moving on to the second.
We are also trying to provide a good layout for the script to make it look neater. We
can then take our points in Draft 1 and add them to Draft 2 with a neater layout to
provide a neater, better script. Afterwards, we will need to progress onto the
storyboard, as it’s essential for our music video.

Issues raised: We still need to look for an actress who will regularly be able to take
part in our music video and take part in filming. We also need to talk about the
locations of our filming and take into consideration how far we will need to travel, if
there are any risks of going, and if it will provide any problems for anyone to either
get there or film there.

Purpose of Meeting: The purpose of this meeting is to discuss the work we will
have to complete this week. We will have to complete the site plans for each of
locations that we will be filming in. We will have to start completing the talent release

5. forms, the production schedule, and the call, these are the last pieces
of work which we will have to complete before we will have to start
filming.

This week we will be looking over our work and correcting any mistakes made for our
filming at the end of the week, we will also be editing previous work to make it look
better, we will also be updating our production schedule and our blogs to show our
completed work, so we can focus on our preparation for our filming.
