NARRATIVE REPORT ON THE CONDUCT OF PSYCHOSOCIAL
SUPPORT ACTIVITIES
Siay NHS conducted Psychosocial Support Activities to the learners last January 3 for the
opening of face-to-face classes of the year 2024. Psychosocial support helps strengthen the protective
factors of the learners, including their ability to identify dangerous and risky situations. It can also help
to promote holistic child development, including physical, emotional social development.
The teacher started with a prayer followed by a “Kamustahan” through an ice breaker (Up, Down,
Shake & Pump). Then the students shared their different feelings and emotions afterwards.
As educators, by having open conversations and raising awareness around mental health, you
can teach your pupils how to recognize the symptoms of anxiety and depression. Getting them to
understand the importance of self-care and mental wellbeing can help to reduce the stigma associated
with having mental health difficulties.
