This document summarizes a breakfast briefing held by PKF Francis Clark on healthy workplaces. The event included presentations on why workplace health is important, Cornwall's Healthy Workplace Programme, case studies and awards, PKF Francis Clark's involvement in health initiatives, and an upcoming 5k run. The Healthy Workplace Programme supports nine health areas and offers various levels of certification. Presenters were available after to answer questions. 5. Why Workplace Health?
The workplace directly influences the physical, mental, economic
and social well-being of workers and in turn the health of their
families, communities and society. It offers an ideal setting and
infrastructure to support the promotion of health to a large
audience.

11. What is the Healthy Workplace
Programme?
The Healthy Workplace Programme is a county standard of good practice
and a quality mark of health and wellbeing in the workplace.
We support and encourage Workplaces to look after the Health &
Wellbeing of their staff to decrease sickness, improve morale, general
health and more.
We offer a framework for workplaces to work towards which includes 9
key areas:
1. Creating a Healthy Workplace
2. Health & Safety 6. Smoking, Substance & Alcohol Awareness
3. Recruitment, Retention & Return to Work 7. Physical Activity including Active Travel
4. Mental Wellbeing including minimising Stress 8. Healthier Eating including Healthy Weight
5. MSK including Back, Joint & Muscle Health 9. Choosing Well

12. What is the Healthy Workplace
Programme?
These 9 key areas enable workplaces to engage with our Annual Healthy
Workplace Awards to achieve: Certificate, Bronze, Silver or Gold levels
plus Micro and Mentor Awards. The Awards & Conference celebrate and
share knowledge/best practice for workplaces in Cornwall.

Award, Healthy Cornwall offers support & help in many health areas:
