Dear Administrator,
The applicant’s name is Francine Goundry. I met her two years ago while my two sons were attending
The Branch School. Fran served as the Program and Student Support Coordinator. My oldest has a
severe case of ADHD, which is where I observed Fran the most. Fran was responsible for monitoring my
son, as well as other special needs students like him, to ensure their educational experience was
maximized. Due to her direct actions, my son has thrived because of her attention to detail and adapting
to his developmental changes. In addition to this role, Fran was also responsible for educational outreach
and competitions programs on the local, state and national levels where she demonstrated great ownership
of these programs and maintained excellent networks with multiple organizations. On a routine basis, I
observed the following traits:
· Continuously displaying a positive attitude under difficult situations,
· Very quick to adapt to the situation at hand with clever and fit-for-purpose solutions,
· Broad, in depth knowledge and understanding of various teaching and learning methodologies,
· Extracting maximum value when faced with limited resources, both human and financial,
· Focuses on finding a solution versus dwelling on the problem, and
· Through and timely communication to ensure stakeholders, both parents and colleagues, are
aligned on the direction being taken.
Sincerely,
Ken Conly
