I highly recommend Mr. Adam Stewart for employment. I worked with Mr. Stewart in my
position with the Mary Lou Fulton Teachers College at Arizona State University. I am
the America Reads Program Coordinator. Mr. Stewart participated in the America
Reads program January, 2014 - December, 2015. Mr. Stewart was a dedicated
employee and progressed from a tutor to a lead tutor, and eventually a supervisor with
the program.
As an America Reads tutor, Mr. Stewart displayed excellent communication and
organizational skills. He was successful in communicating with both his peers and the
students he worked with. He created fun, hands-on, educational activities in reading,
writing, math and other academic subjects. He tutored children attending under-
resourced schools, generally the children in the program attend Title I schools. Adam
worked with other ASU students who were also tutors and mentors to the students.
As a supervisor with America Reads, Mr. Stewart continued to be exceptionally
organized in his position. He was responsible for directly supervising 10-12 tutors each
day. Mr. Stewart is capable of multi-tasking, at site he was responsible for the safety of
the children participating in the program, in addition to supervisory responsibilities. His
duties included regular written and verbal communications with his staff, parents, and
Site Manager; creating professional development trainings; documenting attendance;
and tracking student progress.
Mr. Stewart recently graduated from Arizona State University. I recommend Mr. Adam
