A webinar on the Metadata and Ontologies Semantic Matching (SeMa) Specific Enabler (SE) developed in FITMAN project. This SE is offered as an infrastructure containing an installable software which supports users through the provision of an infrastructure which will allow the semi-automatic matching of different ontologies (OWL) and also of different XML schemas (XSD). To achieve efficient semantic matching, a number of different algorithms (ranging from context-dependent, fragment-based, and reuse-oriented matching) are used. The proposed matching is visualised in an intuitive and user-friendly graphical interface that allows for manual alteration and/or completion when needed. 3. Why to get it
• Interoperability between organisations remains a crucial challenge
• Data AND Knowledge between organisations, even in the same
supply chain are not homogenized!

• To facilitate data sharing/integration between entities/departments
• To support the matching of similar concepts originating from different
sources
