4. Guidelines for Internship
• Orient to the Workplace
• Arrive Early and Resist the temptation to
leave early
• Know what is expected when given an
assignment
• Keep conversations professional
• If an issue arrives contact the Field Office
• Maintain contact with your cooperating
teacher
5. Record Absences
• When you are absent from your student teaching
placement, you are REQUIRED to place the
following phone calls:
-Cooperating Teacher (Phone and Email)
-University Supervisor
-Email the
Director
• You are allowed only one personal day during 15
weeks
• Any additional days need to be added to the end
•
6. Timesheets
• Timesheets need to be
submitted
• Midterm due date March 15,
2013
• Final due date April 26,2013
• If they are not submitted this
will result in your grade not
being recorded in Banner.
7. Praxis Information
• Fall Student Teaching
• If you intend to teach in the fall you MUST
pass your Praxis by June, 1,2013
• Spring Student Teaching
• If you intend to teach in the spring you
MUST pass your Praxis by November
1,2013
