Skills
Communication: My verbal communication skills are of a very high standard after spending such a
long period working with the general public daily in my part time jobs. I have gained confidence in
speaking and know how to communicate effectively and clearly.
Computing and numeracy: After achieving a B and A in G.C.S.E Maths and IT respectively, I feel I
have a great understanding of both subjects. I have used these skills whilst producing coursework
for university and also have improved my mental arithmetic skills whilst holding my role as a sales
assistant to complete calculations quickly.
Team work: I played an important role in working as part of the team in Stewart Miller as it required
each individual to work together to achieve daily targets and promote the company whilst also
selling stock.
Positions of responsibility and interests
3. In school I was the chairperson of the charity society. I participated in charity activities and group
involvement which developed my understanding of the disadvantaged and less privileged
community in which I live and socialise in.
Primary school classroom assistant: During free periods each week I would attend Penhryn Prep
School to help the children with their schoolwork. I enjoyed working with the students as I found it
very satisfying after I helped them overcome their difficulties with basic English and Maths.
I like to maintain a good level of fitness and stamina through attending the gym. I also love
socialising with my friends in my free time as I find it fun and enjoyable. I also have a keen interest
in politics and current affairs.
