1. RESEARCH.
How I used it for? What have I learnt about it? And what I
learnt from using each thing mentioned in relation to your
production work.
2. THE INTERNET/ YOUTUBE
I used YouTube for my research in looking at horror trailers and
compare them with others in the horror genre. This helped me to
understand the horror genre more and the subgenres. What elements
people like in horror trailers and what makes a good one. It also helped
me to develop my horror trailer for example knowing what shots I
wanted in my horror genre.
I also used the internet to help develop my research. I was able to
research into target audience, audience consumptions by looking at
websites such as Uktribes.com and IMBD. I could also look at horror
poster and websites and this helped me to think about the sort of
layout/design I wanted for both my poster and website.
3. OLYMPUS DIGITAL RECORDER WITH
AUDIO TECHNICA TELEMIC.
I used the Olympus digital recorder to record people. For an
example, recording people on why they like horror films, what
makes a good horror film etc. I used this to develop my
understanding on the horror genre and the audience
consumption towards horror films.
4. PREZI/SLIDESHARE
I used Prezi and slideshare to gather my information that I have
found of the internet such as statics and then was able to make it
into a slide show presentation or a prezi and was able to quickly
refer to this information when need to for my poster, website or
horror trailer.
Also, I put some of my research information on slideshare or prezi
due to it would also show the technological side when uploading to my
blog and that I have thought about different ways in which to show
my research.
