This document discusses the challenges of organizing large collections of photos from different sources like trips and events. It notes that people often take many photos but have no easy way to combine, sort, select and share the best ones. Trip to Denmark, 3 days = 200 pictures from
phone + 300 from dslr per 1 family (x3 as
there were 3 families in total ). No way to set
pictures up in order sort and select interesting
ones – “create .rar file”, “delete foggy ones”
etc.

• creating synthetic index key for picture,
include it with even highly modified picture –
based on exif-gps, tags separately
• Lot of work must be done on user’s device –
otherwise it’s very easy to run out of
resources

such situations – sorting, selecting are that we
need to do every time anyway, it’s good
enough for us to just get pictures to hard disk

• Maybe it’s worth to understand, why sorting,
selecting is so hard
• What is behind thing that lot of pictures stay
on hard disk
