Inthefeedbackwe weretoldwhatwe couldhaveimprovedinouradvert.One oftheimprovementswas
toincludeane-mailaddressintheadvert.Wehaveincludedaphonenumberasa contactinformation
butwe didn’tthink ofaddingane-mailaddressorawebsitelinkwhichwouldmakeiteasierforpeopleto
find information.
Theuseof searchenginesaremuchmorecommonthananythingelsetodayastheyareeasiertouse
and manipulatesowedecidedtochangethatand insteadofa phonenumberweincludeda linkto the
school’swebsitesoanyonewho’sinterestedcansimplygoandhavea lookatwhatthey’reinterested.
Inthefeedbackwe arealsotoldthatwewere quietand didn’tspeakreallyloudsothe panelmembers
didn’thearusquite well.Ididn’twant tomake thesamemistakeintherealadvertsoIhave increasedthe
voicesoftheactorsandlowereddownthebackgroundmusic. Bydoingsothe resultsIgainedshowed
thatactor’svoiceswereclearer.Iwillalsoneedtopractisemypresentationskillsandspeakina louder
voice.
Wehave takentheclients’feedbackandouradvertsnowmeettheclients’expectations.Theformand
styleoftheadvertsarecorrectandfitthetimethatisavailabletous,30 seconds.Theymeetlegaland
ethicalrequirementsandsoundlikeadvertswewouldexpecttohearona radiochannel.
Wehave workedwellinourgroup.If thereisone thingIwouldchange though,itwouldbe toincludea
femalespeakerinone oftheadvertsorboth.Femalevoice-overactors’voicesfeelmorewelcomingandit
wouldmake theaudiencethinktheschoolisbothformaleand femalestudents.
Mostofthefeedbackwas aboutourpresentationtechniquesandnottheactualadvert.Itwasgoodto
knowwe hadplanneda goodrecognisableadvert.
