ENTOURAGE WEBSITE | LOG-IN to the EDOnline
Getting started with the EDOnline
The Entourage Website is available as soon as you sign! A default login will be sent to the Primary Contact
on the account. NO DEPOSIT IS NECESSARY TO ACCESS THE ENTOURAGE WEBSITE. Begin setting up
your staff and gathering images and materials right away!
LOGGING IN:
Go to www.entourageyearbooks.com
If you have a login ID:
• In the upper-right corner, enter your User
Name and Password and click Login
***User Id and Passwords for the Primary Contact are
emailed within 24 hours of signing, please contact the
Support Team or your Account Manager if you did not
receive the email.
IF YOU DO NOT HAVE A LOGIN:
• Click Search For Your School
• Enter the name of the school
and click Search
• Click the red Don’t Have A
User ID button and fill in
your information.
*Please allow 48 hours for processing,
Entourage needs to verify new login
requests with the Primary Contact.

Once you have logged into your
Entourage Website, you will be
able to access the EDOnline soft-
ware and begin building your
new yearbook!
Note: Once we have received
your first initial payment your
software will be activated.
Hover your mouse over the design tab.
Your design option will open below. To
begin working on your yearbook pag-
es in EDOnline, click on the option for
“EDOnline - Page Design”.

Once you click on the Design option for EDOnline, you will be brought to the online designer. To begin, you
will select a page from the ladder on the left hand side.
Once the page loads,
a two-page spread
will appear on your
screen and you can
begin to design your
year-book pages.

lose some of your items
in the binding.
BLACK GUIDELINE
The black guideline
is where your pages
will get trimmed
down to during the
printing process.
PURPLE GUIDELINE
The purple guideline is
your margin.
Any items you do not
want to get cut off
must stay within the
purple guidelines.

ENTOURAGE WEBSITE | PLACING AN IMAGE
To place an image on your page, begin by clicking on the Insert Photos camera
found on your top left toolbar. This will bring up a new dialog box.
Choose a category on the
left, select the photo you
want to place, and click the
green Insert Photo button
at the top of the menu. You
can insert multiple photos
at the same time by clicking
on multiple images before
inserting on the page.
Once the image
is placed on your
page, you can
resize the box,
rotate it, and
move it around on
your page to the
desired location.
SWAP
Click and drag this
icon into another frame
to swap the photos
between frames.
RESIZING
Place your mouse on any
of the circles in the four
corners and drag your mouse
to resize the image box.
MOVING
When you place your mouse
over the image box, a hand
will appear. Drag the image
box until you have placed it
in the correct spot.
ROTATING
When you hover over the rotating tool
you will see your mouse cursor change to
a circle icon. Click and move your mouse
back and fourth to rotate your image.

USING THE AUTO PAGE BUILDER:
The auto builder allows you to choose which images you want on a page, choose your template, and automatically
generate the page into the designer. You will begin by choosing the images from your category as shown on the
previous page. The auto builder works best when multiple photos are selected. Instead of choosing insert photos,
you will choose Add Photos to Auto Builder. You should now be brought to the Auto Builder tab.
Select a template
category and num-
ber of photos in
the center column.

plates button.
Choose the tem-
plate you want
your photos placed
into.
Click the “Gen-
erate Preview”
button to the right.
This will Generate
the preview and
give you the option
to regenerate pre-
view.
Once you are hap-
py with your page,
choose to insert the
template on the
left or right side.

Change the border to have mitered,
rounded or beveled edges
When you choose the style, miter,
you can increase the amount

To crop a photo, click the
crop button on the top tool
bar. You can then resize the
box to display the portion of
the image you would like to
appear on your page. Once
you are satisfied with crop,
click the red Apply Crop
button at the top of the
dialog box.
TRANSFORMATION Make your
image Sepia, Grayscale, Lighter, or Darker.
FLIP Mirror an image within your frame.
CROP PHOTO This will bring up a dialog
box that allows you to crop an image within
the frame.
DROP SHADOW Add a drop shadow
to your image.
TEXT WRAP Allow text to flow around
the image frame.
TAG PHOTO Tag people within the image
to keep track of who is on which page.
CLEAR PHOTO This will remove the
current image from the frame.
ROUND CORNERS This will round
the corners of your image frame.
LOCK FRAME Lock and unlock the frame
so it doesn’t get moved around on the page.
ROTATE LEFT AND RIGHT Use these icons
to rotate the image 90 degrees left and right.
FLIP HORIZONTAL This will flip the
image horizontally within the frame.
CHANGE PHOTO This will bring up the
photo dialog box to replace the image.
FLIP VERTICAL This will flip the
image vertically within the frame.
FIT Change the fit to frame option to fine
tune how your image fits in your image frame.
DISPLAY QUALITY Change the preview
quality of you image. Change to Low
resolution with may your page load faster.
Changing the display to High with give you
a high resolution view of your image but will
slow your page load.

ENTOURAGE WEBSITE | Using Text
To place a text box on your page, begin by clicking on the text box button on your left toolbar. A text box will appear on your page.
Once the text box is on your page you can re-size the box, rotate it and move it around on your pages to the desired location.
Once the Text Box
loads onto the page,
you can double click
into the text box and
start typing your copy.
At any time, you can click
on the “T” button to edit an
existing text box.
Click here to edit the
text by itself rather
than on the page.
RE-SIZING
Place your mouse on
any of the circles in
the four corners and
drag your mouse to
resize the text box.
ROTATING
Place your mouse
over the tab in the
bottom right corner
of your text box to
rotate your text.
MOVING
Click the small hand
icon in the top left
corner of the text box
to move the text box
location.
TEXT COLOR
Click this box to view the
text color options. Select
the color of your choice
and click to close.
FONT STYLE
Use this drop down
to select a new font
for the text within the
selected text box.
ALIGN
Select one of the four
paragraph options: left
align, center align, right
align, and justify.
FONT SIZE
You can type in a desired font
size or use the up and down
arrows to increase or decrease
the size of the selected font.

To use more advanced text editing, navigate to the TEXT SETTINGS Tab on the right hand side of the designer. Here you can still
edit the font style, font size, add underline, change the font color, and change the paragraph alignment. The more advanced
editing features are highlighted below:
TRACKING
Click the up and down arrows to
increase or decrease the tracking
between the letters (spacing between
letters).
LEADING
Click the up and down arrows to
increase or decrease the leading
between the lines of text (spacing
between lines of text).
KERNING
Enable kerning to adjust the
spacing between characters in
your text.
PLACEHOLDER TEXT
Use this if you want to set up
your page layout but do not
have copy yet.
COLUMNS
Use the up and down arrows to
increase or decrease the amount of
columns in the selected text box. You
can also type in the desired number.
AUTO GROW
Check this if you want the text box to
“auto-grow” when you type more text,
increasing the size of the text box.
DRAW TEXT ON PATH
Check this if you want the text to follow
the path of a shape instead of being
placed inside a text box.
IGNORE TEXT WRAP
This option will allow the text
box to ignore any text wrap
settings placed on a frame.

ADDING A BACKGROUND
To add a background to the page, click the background icon on the top left toolbar.
This will open a new dialog box.
Select a category to the left, and choose the background you would like to place in the
right. Once you select the background, insert it on the page by choosing the insert button
at the top of the dialog box. Single page backgrounds will place on the left or right
pages, and two-page spread backgrounds will cover the whole spread.
To delete a background on a page, you can either click on it once and hit the delete
button on your keyboard, or you can place another background on top of it to replace it.

ADDING CLIP-ART
ADDING SHAPES
To place clip art onto to a page, click
on the clip art button on the left toolbar.
Then, choose your category on the left.
You will select your clip art and choose
if you want to insert it on the left or right
page. Resize to an appropriate size.
To place a shape onto to a page,
click on the shape button on the left
toolbar. Then, choose the shape you
want to insert. You can then choose
to insert on the left or right page.
You can even choose custom shape
to make your own frames!

ADDING A TEMPLATE
To add a template onto your page, click on the templates button on the left toolbar. Go to the
category you would like to use. The options will appear to the right of the categories. Click on the
template you would like to place, and then click insert. The template will then be placed on the page.
The templates are completely
editable. You can take the basic
layout of any template and use it
as a starting off point for a great
layout. To the left is the above
template used to create a fun and
well designed yearbook page.

CREATING A TEMPLATE
If there is a page layout
that you have created that
you really like and want to
use again in another section
of your yearbook, you can
create a template of your
own design to repeat within
your yearbook.
Start by creating your
layout page in EDOnline
on a two page spread. You
can add in your images
if you would like for the
original template page.
(Above) Once you have
your template page
created, save your page
and then click on the
Save as Template button
found on the left toolbar.
(Left) Next select either a
single page or a double
page template. Title your
template and click Save.
Once your template is
saved, you can place it
on a page by clicking
the templates button
on the left toolbar and
choosing the Saved
Templates tab. Choose
the template you want
to place and the page
you want to place it on.
If you place a
template but decide
you want to chage
out a new version,
click the Swap Page
Template option. If
you have images
already place the
will automatically
change out to the
new template.

RED GUIDELINE
The red guideline is

COVER TEMPLATES: Use predesigned cover templates from the Tem-
plates menu option. Choose the template you want to use and insert it
onto the page. You can adjust the design and information to fit your
yearbook design.
PRE-DESIGNED COVERS: Use our professionally pre-designed cov-
ers. Add in your own images and text to customize your cover.
PDF UPLOADS: If you have created your cover in another design pro-
gram, be sure to upload your file as a Hi-resolution PDF. Once you have
uploaded your file, you can access the PDF from your image menu and
place it on the page.
INSIDE PRINTING/PRINTED ENDSHEETS: If you have the up-
grade of inside printing or printed endsheets on your account, you
will access this design from the cover designer. *If you do not have
this upgrade on your account, contact your sales representative
for pricing.

To begin your people pages in
EDOnline, you will go to the design
tab and choose “EDOnline - Design
People Pages.” You can also access
this page in the inline designer, by
clicking on “Design”, and “Design
People Pages.”
Note: Before you begin this step, please note that
you must have your photos already uploaded. If
you have not done this yet, please pause from this
step and upload your student portraits.
STEP 1 - MANAGE STUDENT DATA AND PHOTOS
Upload your student data by browsing your computer
for the index file. This file should be on the CD you
receive from your photographer, and typically has the
file name “index.txt”
Once your data columns
are assigned, confirm the
assignments by clicking the
confirm button located at the
bottom of the screen.
The images will now match
with the uploaded data.
When you have confirmed
it is correct, click the Assign
Matched Photos button.
You can manage duplicates using this button. This feature
allows you to make sure each student is only featured once
in the People Pages section.

STEP 6 - REVIEW GENERATED TEMPLATES
Check on the box of the
template you wish to use, and
then click on the button that
says “Generate Template”
STEP 7 - ADD TEMPLATES TO YOUR YEARBOOK DESIGN
Once you generate your people pages, you are ready to place them in your page designer. To do this, go to the
Design tab and choose EDOnline - Page Design. Next, choose the first page you want to place your people page
on. You’ll access your people pages by clicking the insert template button found on the left toolbar.
Choose the template
you want to place.
Choose the side of the
spread you want the
template placed on.
Once the template is placed
on the page, you can modify
the elements as necessary.
We recommend verifying the
spelling and members of the
class before approving your
book for production.
