ECOSYSTEMS ADVISORS LP
 Provide scientific and technical guidance in systems analysis and simulations, GIS, and analysis
of ecological data (Graduate Students and Professors in the University of Juarez, Durango-
Mexico).
 Communicate scientific and technical information about effects of Climate Change on wetlands,
and bird communities, in plenary conference, and through oral briefings, written documents,
workshops, and training sessions.
 Prepare data base in access, providing summary and updated information on the environmental
data of the critical habitat and population of the endangered whooping crane in Nebraska and
Texas.
 Run model simulations (analytical, and spatial explicit), and prepare GIS’s maps from data base
from data base of critical habitats and population parameters of the endangered whooping crane
and other migratory birds.
 Conduct environmental audits and inspections of the critical wetland habitats.
 Monitor effects of land or habitat degradation and recommend means of prevention or control.
WHOOPINGCRANE TRUST
 Provide scientific and technical guidance, and support to Environmental Programs in central
Platter River area,Nebraska.
 Analyze data to interpret correlations between human activities and environmental effects in
aquatic birds’ critical habitats.
 Use GAP analysis and GIS to find unprotected critical habitat of the whooping crane, sandhill
crane and other migratory aquatic bird.
 Build a conceptual model of the ecosystem of central Platte River.
 Prepare graphs,GIS maps and run simulations from data samples of wet meadows habitat,
climate, and population parameters of whooping crane and other migratory birds.
 Conduct environmental audits and surveys in whooping and sandhill cranes habitats during
migratory seasons.
 Monitor effects of land or habitat degradation in Nebraska and recommend means of prevention
or control
 Communicate scientific information to organizations through oral briefings, written documents,
workshops, and training sessions
 Provide advice to international audience from data of avian flu
TEXAS A&M UNIVERSITY
 Use of visual basic and GIS to develop spatial explicit models
 Prepare graphs,GIS maps and run simulations from data samples of water availability, and
distribution and abundance of aquatic birds.
 Build a model of trophic dynamic in mangrove ecosystem, west Venezuela.
 Communicate scientific information in two international workshops of environmental economics
and natural resources management, Trieste – Italy.
 Conduct environmental audits and surveys in bird’s habitats.
 Monitor effects of land or habitat degradation and recommend means of prevention or control
 Analyze data to interpret correlations between human activities and environmental effects in
aquatic birds’ habitats.
UNIVERSITY OF ZULIA
 Direct four graduate programs, and develop a new Graduate Program in Applied Ecology
(Faculty of Science)
 Teach Ecology, Population Ecology, and Natural Resources Management (Faculties of Science
and Poultry Science), and Advise 12 undergraduate and 3 graduate student’s thesis.
 Collect, synthesize, analyze, manage, and report environmental data, such as habitat degradation,
pollution emission measurements, meteorological information, soil and water samples.
 Prepare graphs, and run simulations from data samples of habitat productivity, and distribution
and abundance of aquatic birds.
 Coordinate two multi -institutional research project on biodiversity in Maracaibo Lake-
Venezuela, (supervising 22 researchers, funds from the national government, the Interamerican
Development Bank and Shell –Venezuela).
 Communicate scientific information (biodiversity in tropical wetlands) to organizations through
oral briefings, written documents, workshops, and training sessions
 Monitor effects of land or habitat degradation and recommend means of prevention or control.
 Conduct environmental audits, EIA, and inspections in wetlands habitats and oil fields.
PETROCHEMICAL OF VENEZUELA
 Collect, synthesize, analyze, manage, and report environmental data, such as habitat degradation,
pollution emission measurements, meteorological information, soil and water samples.
 Prepare charts, and graphs from data samples providing summary information on the
environmental relevance of the data (parameters of quality control of effluents, and soil)
 Communicate scientific information (about biodiversity in tropical wetlands) to organizations
through oral briefings, written documents, workshops, and training sessions
 Monitor effects of land or habitat degradation and recommend means of prevention or control.
Communicate this technical information to individuals and organizations, through workshops and
training sessions.
 Conduct environmental audits, and inspections in oil fields and petrochemical facilities.
 Coordinate and supervise (a team of 30 workers) in management and disposal of hazardous and
toxic waste water and soil in a petrochemical complex.
