Quick Installation Guide
Type ezhotspot.eu in your browser.
Select which option applies at your location.
Below ‘Quick Hotspots’ you can find even more options that may
apply at your location.
Go to your network center, view the SSIDs (network names) and
select ez@XXXXXX. You can find this address at the back panel of
your product. Enter your password (this is also on the back panel).

Remove the bottom panel by turning it left.
Connect the power adapter DC inlet to the 12V DV In of the
EZ Repeater and the power adapter to an electrical outlet.
The device is ready for configuring when the left and right LEDs
(Power and Wireless) are lit. This may take about 30 seconds.
We recommend you to use a mobile phone or tablet configuring
your EZ Repeater. It is an easy menu and simple to
operate through the mobile or tablet and set it up. This makes it
quick, easy and fast to use.

Menu Explanation Guide
Once you have arrived at ezhotspot.eu you must configure the
device. Press ‘Configure ‘ to start with this.
Here you can see the complete menu. These are the most common
options. We will discuss every single button included.
Here are the other options in the main menu. We will discuss every
single button included.
Main menu

Press the ‘Scan Public Hotspots’ button to start the scan.
The scan will take up to 9 seconds.
Below the buttons you will find an explanation what a public
hotspot is.
After the scan you will see this menu. Here you can repeat the scan,
go back or select a hotspot to repeat.
It may occur that you are connected and got an IP-address on the
WAN, but there is no Internet. It is possible that your
MAC-address is blocked by the AP you are connected with.
Press ‘Device Blocked?’ to generate a random MAC-address to
overwrite the one that is blocked.
When you press on the SSID you will see a list of all the public hot-
spots in your area. Select the public hotspot that you want to use.
After selecting the public hotspot press ‘Confirm’ to get connected.

Once the connection is completed you will see this screen. It will tell
you that it is a SUCCESS!!!
A new web browser will open to fill in your voucher details. After
filling in you can enjoy the Internet hassle-free.
When a web browser does not automatically pop up you can click
on ‘Open New Browser’. This may be handy when the web browser
does not open by itself and you still need to fill in the voucher
details.
Press ‘Scan Private Networks’ button to start the scan.
The scan will take up to 9 seconds.

After the scan you will see this menu. Here you can repeat the scan,
go back or select a hotspot to repeat.
When you press on the SSID you will see a list of all the private
hotspots in your area. Select the private hotspot that you want to
use.
After selecting the public hotspot press ‘Confirm’ to get connected.
After selecting the private hotspot enter the encryption key and than
press ‘Confirm’ to get connected.

Press the ‘Scan All Networks’ button to see all networks in your
area.
You will see a list of all the networks in your area. Also, you can
see how strong the signal is and if they are private or public. Press
the SSID you would like to repeat.
A new browser will open and you can enjoy the Internet without
any trouble.
You can open a browser by clicking on the ‘Open New Browser’
button.

Enter the encryption key if this is necessary.
After selecting a SSID you will see the information again, and also
how strong the signal is.
In the case of entering a encryption key, press ‘Confirm’.

Login by entering your Ziggo/UPC username and password.
Press ‘Submit’ after filling in your account details.
Press ‘Ziggo’.
You will see a few extra options that you can use. We will explain
them all.

KPN Fon
Press ‘KPN Fon’.
Here you can find some information and go back to the main menu
if you prefer.
It may occur that you are connected and got an IP-address on the
WAN, but there is no Internet. It is possible that your

In the ‘Tor menu’ you can see if the ‘Tor Network Status’ is ‘on’ or
‘off’.
By pressing ‘Select Network Type’ you will see the options like
shown. Select the one that applies at your location.
You can also check your Tor status by pressing ‘Check Tor Status’.
Once you have selected the type that applies at your location you
can press ‘Enable Tor Network’ to activate it.
Below the buttons you can read more about ‘Tor Network’. If you
like more details you can press ‘more Tor Project details...’

Press ‘Guest Wifi’.
You are able to give a name that you prefer to your guest Wifi. You
can also give the guest SSID an encryption if you prefer this.
By clicking on the ‘Encryption’ button you can set which option you
prefer. If you choose ‘wireless key required’ enter the key you would
like the guest to use.
Once you have changed it press ‘Submit’ to make it final.
You can also read about ‘Transparent Repeater’ below the bottons.

You can set how much your guest can download and upload. You
are also able to set your Terms & conditions so your guest know
what they can and cannot do on the guest network.

Here you will see the administration menu. We will explain them
all.
Press ‘My SSID & Key’.
Here you can change your SSID and also your encryption key.
Once you have changed it, press ‘Submit’ to make it final.

Press ‘Keep Internet Alive’.
This function makes sure the Internet stays alive even when you are
not using it.
Select the number of minutes that the device has to sent a signal to
keep the Internet alive.
Here you will see which version is working on your device. Also you
can check if there is a newer version available.
Press ‘OTA Firmware Upgrade’.
Press ‘Download to RAM’ to download the new firmware to the
RAM of the device. Once this is done it will install the latest version.

Press ‘Dashboard Password’.
Here you are able to change the dashboard password. By default
this is ‘root’.
Once you have changed it, press ‘Submit’ to make it final.

Press ‘Auto Recovery’.Press ‘Check Online Status’.
Here you can find the status of the device and the status of the
firmware. This way you can see which firmware version the device
is using and you can see with which SSID you are connected.
You can disable ‘Auto Recovery’ so the device will not remove the
saved profile of the remote hotspot. This can be helpfull if you often
have to re-join a hotspot.
Once you selected the number of minutes you can press ‘Confirm’
to make it active.
At the bottom of the page you can read more about
‘Keep Internet Alive’.

‘Auto Recovery’.
Press ‘LED Control’.
You are able to switch off the LED lights. Just press ‘Switch OFF
LED’ and they will turn off. You can see if you have a good connection by checking the lights.
Check which image matches with your situation.

Press ‘Advanced Dashboard’.
To enter the ‘Advanced Dashboard’ you must enter a password.
By default this is ‘root’. If you changed the password you must
enter the new password you have created.
You are able to view your system log here.
Press ‘System Log’.Press ‘WPA_Supplicant.
You are able to see your WPA_Supplicant status here.

In this section you can find the ‘Advanced Dashboard’. If this has
your preference you are able to update and scan for hotspots. We
will show you.
First press ‘System’, than select ‘Backup/Flash Firmware’.
Scroll down to Flash new ‘Firmware’ image.
Press ‘bestand kiezen’ and select the firmware file that you
downloaded from our website.
Once you have selected the right file, press ‘Flash image’ to flash
the device to the latest firmware.
Press ‘Network’.
Now select ‘Hotspot Wifi’.

Now you will see more information about the client. If everything
is correct you can press ‘Save & Apply’ to get connected to this
network.
You will see the settings of the network you would like to join.
Check if the password is correct or fill in the right password. If
everything is correct press ‘Submit’.
To scan for hotspots press ‘Scan for Hotspots’ and the scanning will
start.
After scanning, the device shows you all the networks he could find.
Also, you can see what the strength of the signal is and if it is a
private or secured network.
Once you have found the network you would like to join, press
‘Join Network’ to join.

To check your status and see if you are connected press ‘Status’.
You will see some information below ‘Network’. This will tell you
that you are connected and what your IP adress is. If the field
below ‘Network’ is empty this can either mean that you are not
connected or that you are blocked. Unless ‘check online status’ says
that you are connected, then you are blocked.
Press ‘Factory Reset’.
Here you can reset your product. Press ‘Confirm‘ to make it final
and the device will reset .
Press ‘Log off’. You will log off from the main menu.
