Maintenance of water-lubricated screw air compressor
1. Replace water: after long time operation, dust or particles might enter system, acid and alkaline substance change the PH
of water, even though we use anti-acid stainless steel pipe, acid and alkaline substance is bad for the safety operation of
compressor. The water replace cycle is set in the maintenance parameter and company recommends replace water every
3000 hour.
2. Replace element of water filter: the dirt inside system stick on water filter which increase the resistance of water filter, even
cause shortage of water and lead to burning of airend. All water filters has protection of pressure difference when the filter
is blocked the pressure difference between two side increase and reach the limit and trigger alarm. So it’s easy to notify
user to replace and clean the element of water filter.
3. Replace element of air filter: it’s regular maintenance action. User repalce or clean the element according to alarm notice
on display.
4. Replace bearing: water lubricated bearing is non-contact hybrid bearing, theoretical life is 80000hour. However internal
wearing, start and stop, and entry of dirt would cause damage to bearing in varying degrees. Therefore it’s neccessary to
do regular maintenance. It’s recommended that dismantle airend every 2years, check, repair and clean the static and
dynamic thrust bearing. Every 5years replace the thrust bearing, casing and water flow path should be deeply flushed.
