The document discusses Fareeq's solutions for EXOMNIA, which is excessive anxiety and lack of sleep due to exams. It tells the story of a student named Ahmed who is stressed about an upcoming exam but takes his mother's advice to relax, eat well, and get a good night's sleep. The moral is that exams are inevitable but should not be overly stressed about, and students should focus on preparation and maintaining priorities and what is important.

Sleep Solutions
2. bit about ou r problem!
B ut first, a
The problem that was of interest to us as a
team was the lack of sleep due to
exam anxiety
and apprehensions of performing well in the
high stakes or any other exam.
3. Fareeq's EXOMNIA!!!
Hence germinated the term
EXOMNIA
and Fareeq's very own
sleep solution
may very well save the day, ... and the
anxiety, ... and the insomnia,
... and a bit of sanity among other valuables!
5. -Naum... go to sleep...
Sah al
“But I have promises to keep, and miles to go
before I sleep, and miles to go before I sleep -
Robert Frost”
... read Ahmed from his literature book and
sighed... he had so much to study and already
it was past his bedtime, and the word sleep
reminded him with heaviness in his eyes that
he needed a good one... Just then his mother's
head popped in from behind the door,
"Ahmed!" she exclaimed, "What about dinner,
son!"
6. "Yes, ma! I'll have it later! I still have two
short plays to revise! And there are four
poems left..." Ahmed wailed.
"'One cannot think well, love, well, sleep well,
if one has not dined well', isn't that Frost who
said this?" she said, eyeing the book in Ahmed's
hands.
7. "It's Virginia Wolf, ma!" Ahmed exclaimed, and
then laughed a bit.
"There! You have everything in your mind, so
you are prepared for your exam. Eat
something and get ready for bed, and that's
it." she said with a comforting and yet
authoritative voice.
8. How easy it seemed, how simple it sounded,
Ahmed thought to himself, yet he was still
upset and worrying. He frowned. His mother
came to his side and sat in front of him.
"Recite the tasbih and I'm here praying for
you. You have worked hard and now you have
to relax and see how it goes... I'll get you a
glass of milk with a bit of mustard in it while
you take a warm bath. And eat some, okay!"
9. Ahmed did as he was asked and felt better.
After the warm bath, warm milk and a
scrumptious sandwich, he decided to go back
to revising, after all, one hour had passed! His
mother was immediately standing in front of
him and shoved his book on the shelf, "No
more!" she said.
"But, mum!" " No buts!" Here's a quote for
you... "To Grade is to 'D'-Grade", howzzat?!!"
she grinned.
10. Ahmed smiled and agreed possibly the
hundredth time, or more, to his mother's
declaration! His mother saw his moods
relaxing and she continued, "You studied all
that you had to, now it's only time to
perform". He believed her. "... remember the
best part of your efforts in school, it will
bring positive attitude for sure!"
11. It's always good to have someone to share your
fears about exams, you need motivation and
confidence, isn't it? So mum tucked Ahmed in
his bed and, to Ahmed's surprise, started
singing, "Rock a bye baby...!"
"MOM!!!" Ahmed squealed with laughter and
his mother joined him too. She set the alarm
clock and pulled up his newly laid bedsheet
which smelled fresh.
12. Mum's always know best! Ahmed dozed off
soon in peaceful sleep, cuddled and pampered
by his mum, what better?!
Exams are only exams, how hard can they get,
anyway?
13. Moral of the Story
And this is the message Fareeq would like to
share with all students out there... Exams are
inevitable, so face 'em in the face! It cannot
take you down! All we have to do is stay
focused at all times and aim at our priorities
and all that's really important. There!
