Basic requirements for foundation design
The foundation design shall be divided into three design grades
according
to the complexity of the foundation, the scale and functional
characteristics of
the building, and the degree that the foundation problems may
cause damage
to the building or affect its normal use. The design shall be
selected according
to the specific conditions according to the following table.

17. According to the design grade of building foundation and the
influence degree of foundation deformation on superstructure under
long-term load, the design of foundation foundation shall comply
with the following provisions:
1 The foundation calculation of all buildings shall meet the
relevant provisions of the calculation of bearing capacity;
2. Buildings of grade A and B shall be designed according to
ground deformation;
3. Deformation checking shall be carried out for buildings with
class C design in any of the following circumstances:
L) A complex building with a bearing capacity of less than
130kPa;
2) When there is a large difference in ground load or adjacent
foundation load on or near the foundation, which may cause
excessive and uneven settlement of the foundation;
3) When the building on the weak foundation has eccentric
load;
18. 4) When adjacent buildings are close to each other and may tilt;
5) The foundation has a large thickness or uneven thickness of
the fill soil, its self-weight consolidation has not been completed.
4. The stability of high-rise buildings, high-rise structures and
retaining walls that are often subjected to horizontal loads, as
well
as buildings and structures built on or near slopes, should be
checked;
5. The stability of foundation pit should be checked;
When there is buoyancy problem in basement or underground
structure, anti-buoyancy checking calculation should be carried
out.
Buildings of class C design in the scope listed in the table below
may not be
subjected to deformation verification.

21. greater than 50.The bearing capacity of precast concrete pile should
be checked according to hoisting, transportation and hammer action.
Local flexion calculation should be carried out for steel pipe piles.
3 When there is a weak underlying layer below the pile end plane,
the bearing capacity of the weak underlying layer should be
checked;
4. Check the overall stability of pile foundation located on slope
and bank;
5 For anti-floating and anti-pulling pile foundation, the anti-
pulling capacity of foundation pile and pile group should be
calculated;
The aseismatic bearing capacity of pile foundation in aseismatic
fortification area should be checked.
3.1.4 Settlement calculation shall be carried out for pile foundations of the following
buildings:
1. Non-rock-socketed pile with grade A design and construction
pile foundation with non-deep and hard bearing layer;
2. The structure of grade B is complex, the load distribution is
significantly uneven, or the soft soil layer exists below the pile
end plane
Building pile foundation;
3. Composite dredging pile foundation of soft soil foundation for
multi-storey building.
29. THIS IS MY
PROJECT FOR
THIS
SEMESTER
• IT’S A FOUNDATION DESIGN MADE WITH AUTO
CAD
• Foundation design is the creation of a
construction plan for a building foundation. It is
a highly specialized function and usually
performed by a structural engineer. The
foundation is the structural base that stands on
the ground and supports the rest of the building.
In engineering, a foundation is the element of a
structure which connects it to the ground,
transferring loads from the structure to the
ground. Foundations are generally considered
either shallow or deep.
30. • Foundation engineering is the application of
soil mechanics and rock mechanics
(geotechnical engineering) in the design of
foundation elements of structures. Overall,
concrete slab house foundation are the most
common type. These foundations are made
from poured concrete – usually between four
and eight inches deep – and reinforced with
steel bars called rebar. Basement foundations
have subterranean concrete walls that support
the above-ground structure.
31. AUTOCAD
• AutoCAD is a commercial computer-aided
design and drafting software application.
Developed and marketed by Autodesk,
AutoCAD was first released in December
1982 as a desktop app running on
microcomputers with internal graphics
controllers.
32. IN CONCLUSION
I've learned a lot from my respectful teachers
It was a wonderful and learning experience for me while
working on this project. This project took me through the
various phases of engineering experiences and project
developments, and I'll like to send my gratitude's to my
teachers that tried their best to teach us and make sure we
learn and gain more knowledge comfortably.
Thank you
