Building up the pre-competition hype through fast
paced advertisements that focuson matching the high
intensity, fast paced action of drone flying with F1.
Piggybacking off Formula 1’supcoming racing events
in April and May, the idea is to compare and contrast
the unmatched, high speeds of both sports.
Challenging F1 by questioning what it means to be
fast. This could be an attempt to migrate audiences
from F1 to drone racing.
Influencer	based	meet-ups	that	gives	the	public	the	
opportunity	 to	get	involved	themselves	by	flying	
drones.	Ultimately	encouraging	more	community	in	the	
sport	but	also	the	event	itself.
Setting	up	a	competition	that	allows	the	audience	to	
send	in	their	own	freestyle	videos.	Influencers	again	
could	be	involved	within	the	promotion	and	possibly	
judging	of	this.	These	videos	could	make	for	powerful	
content	as	they	are	visually	striking	and	engaging.
Norton	&	XBLADES	branded	VR	headsets	could	be	
distributed	to	influencers	to	further	advertise	the	
event.	Giving	influencers	the	opportunity	to	display	
branded	event	collateral.

Since	fans	often	pride	themselves	on	making	their	own	
drones,	Symantec	could	offer	their	audience	a	
downloadable	template	to	set	up	a	headset	for	their	
phone,	to	watch	the	race	in	1st	person	as	if	they	were	
in	the	shoes	of	the	pilot.
Twitch	commentaries	could	be	hosted	by	Influencers	
at	the	live	event	to	hopefully	engage	a	wider	audience.
DURING
Symantec	Speed	Records.	After	breaking	the	world	
record	Symantec	could	continue	to	tap	into	this	
audience	by	setting	up	a	number	of	Speed	records	
through	an	online	platform	using	leaderboards,	regular	
competitions	and	scoring.	This	could	be	a	combination	
of	both	individual	and	collective	based	challenges.	
Further	cementing	Symantec’s	relationship	to	speed.	
E.g.	fastest	drone	to	reach	a	set	altitude.
Sparking	further	competition	amongst	the	racers	to	see	
who	is	the	fastest	in	a	multitude	of	different	tests	held	
at	post	race	events.
Think	X	Games	merging	with	Guinness	book	of	world	
records	for	drones.	Think	Michelin	tyres with	their	
Michelin	star	restaurant	rating	system.
