Ellie Jones documented her production process for a magazine in four parts. She took multiple photos of models in different outfits and poses as backups. Then, she spent three days editing the photos by changing backgrounds, enhancing faces, and fixing lighting. Next, she wrote articles and other text for the magazine and copied it onto pages, choosing fonts, colors, and sizes. Finally, she designed the front page and advert, which were difficult because they needed to stand out and look like a real magazine.
2. Process
For the first part of my production I booked
the studio out and took multiple photos of
different people wearing different clothing
and posing in different ways, I decided to
take multiple photos of the same shot as
back ups in case some came out blurry
(which they did).
3. Process
For the second part of my production I spent
three days editing all the photos I have
gathered. I changed the background, enhanced
certain aspects of the face and fixed any lighting
issues.
4. Process
The third part of my process consisted of
writing all the articles in my magazine and
another bit of text like headings and the
advert. After I wrote everything up and was
happy with it I copied the text onto my
pages, chose a font, colour and size .
I also added shapes and made the text
go around certain shapes to make the
page more interesting as I didnβt put
any columns in as I wanted my
magazine to look different. I did have
to change my first double page spread
quite a few times as I thought there
was to much free space on the page
so I changed the size of some text and
moved some stuff around.
5. Process
My front page and advert
was the first two pages I
started on as they stand
out the most and need to.
They were both tricky to do
as I needed to make sure I
stuck to my planning and
that they looked like they
was in a magazine
