1. Christophe
Brunnquell
Brunnquell is a French photographer. He worked as the director on Encore magazine. He was also hired by Purple
magazine as an art director for the magazines second issue. I think his photography is very unique like the photo
above. He photographs a lot of women in different scenery. I really like his work that he did for purple magazine as it
looks on trend and fashionable. He has also worked for some high fashion companies such as Louis Vuitton and
Celine.
2. Work in progress (self service)
Self service magazine was founded upon by Suzanne Kroller and Ezra Petronio. The magazine was
edited, written, photographed and graphically designed by them. The format and layout of their
magazines are neat and look very professional. I will take inspiration from this magazine to design
some of areas of my own magazine to be like this one as I like the style.
3. David Carson
David Carson is an American graphic designer and typographer. He was the art director of the
magazine Ray gun. His work is very experimental with the use of grunge typography. I like his
work because it is very unique. I think if I used something similar to his work in my own
magazine, my audience would like it as its individual.
