1. CHOSEN PICTURES AND WHY
For school based magazine

2. FRONT COVER
I felt this was an
appropriate
picture for my
front cover
because it is a
mid-shot of a
student with a
colourful
background,
showing the
lively
atmosphere the
school has.

3. POETRY REFERENCE
I modelled for a
picture referencing
poetry and the
achievements the
students have made
including it, the book
of poetry shows how
students have been
studying it and the
shot from the camera
being a close up
focuses on the old
kept condition of the
pages, showing a
rustic appearance.
The background is
blurred out to allow
more focus on the
book whilst also
showing the
background of a
library and a mid-
ground of a student.

4. SPORTS REFERENCE
This shot represents the
sports section of the
school and how they
appreciate the history of
sports.The photography
is of the history of sports
teams at the school to
show the authenticity.

5. ART REFERENCE
This shows a
colourful image of
the art work in the
school for variety
in of colour on the
front cover.The
student in the
shot makes it look
like the students
appreciate the art
making a parent
want to send their
child there if they
have an
appreciation for
art.

6. ADAPTATIONS
 I chose to change some of the photograph ideas to cover
the need to show certain aspects of the school to my
target audience
 I cut down to three photos on the front page to show
these parts of school to parents, which I saw as the most
enticing
 I made sure that there was a variety of colour in the
pictures to keep the front cover vibrant and eye catching
as well as ensuring the colours in the background of the
main front cover image wasn’t distracting
 The colours in the smaller images ensure the front cover
image does not overtake the visibility of the other images
