Also had training in writing laboratory Standard Operating Procedures, risk assessments and health and safety forms. 25th-­‐ 29th June 2007-­‐ Bush House Veterinary Group, Ammanford -­‐ Included answering phones, monitoring anaesthetic concentrations and holding animals for vaccinations, building a rapport with the clients. Skills: Customer service skills, interpersonal skills and veterinary specific skills. Voluntary work: I helped set up and run the Reading University Macmillan Cancer Support fundraising team on campus and ran the Reading Half Marathon for Macmillan. This work included managing fundraising events, running the blog and social media accounts and attending meetings and events in the Berkshire area. Skills: Social media, organisational, team leader, teamwork. Other Information: • I helped set up the Reading University Synthetic Biology society at Reading University and held the position of public engagement officer within the society. Skills: Teamwork, organisational. • I represented University of Reading in Rowing in the first novice boat and have represented Wales at Dressage in the inter-­‐regionals and at the Home International for two years.
