Feb 2015 - Present Zoo Keeper (Cover Staff) Willowbank Wildlife Park, Canterbury
Since graduating in February I have been called upon to cover for any annual leave working across all
three sections at the park; Kiwis, Natives, Exotics and Farm.
Key Responsibilities:
• General husbandry; Cleaning enclosures and checking animals, preparing & feeding out food
• Data recording: detailed record keeping of observations pertaining to health, condition and
behaviour including weights, any medication, nesting, mating & group behaviour.
• General maintenance of pens; checking for holes, checking & changing traps, loosening soil
to encourage natural feeding, renewing substrate; planting & weeding.
Jul 2014 - Present Night Guide Willowbank Wildlife Park, Canterbury
Key Responsibilities:
• Delivering an interactive tour of the Natives section, talking about NZ’s unique flora and
fauna & the effects that humans & introduction of pests have had on the environment &
ecology.
• Preparing and distributing the night feeds & herding farm animals out to grazing paddock
• Locking up the park: checking enclosure integrity and inhabitants & locking all gates

Jul 2007 - Dec 2011 Senior Football Development Officer North Riding County FA, UK
I held a senior position, line managing externally funded staff as well as the acting Women and Girl’s
Football Development Officer. The role encompassed managing and delivering a number of projects,
collecting and recording data to present to our stakeholders and working strategically with key agencies
to secure funding, in order to increase female participation. As part of this role I was also Secretary of
the County ladies’ league and held a prominent position on the girls league committee.
Key Achievements:
• Secured £50,000 to deliver an elite performance programme for girls aged 8-17 year old
• Establish a training programme to increase numbers of and support female coaches,volunteers,
young leaders, tutors and referees
• Secured £10,000 funding to deliver projects aimed at mitigating the gap in provision in the female
game

The course gave me a sound knowledge in many aspects of New Zealand’s conversations issues,
including pest control, In-situ & Ex-situ breeding & management programmes and habitat management.

I volunteer predominantly within the Kiwi Breeding Programme supporting the Operation Nest Egg,
but also regularly assist with other areas including native birds and the zoo sections.
• Daily tasks including sanitising feeding & water bowels, preparing and weighing out food,
weighting the chicks, cleaning of brooders & burrows, turning eggs
• Data recording of weights, amounts birds consumed, medication & observations
Yorkshire Wildlife Trust (June 2011 – Dec 2011)Seasonalwork,walking specific track in the
North York Moors National Park, observing and recording butterfly species & numbers. This data
was submitted and utilised by Trust as part of wider conservation programme.
INTERESTS:
I love playing football, training twice weekly and competing in the league at the weekend. I also enjoy
going to the gym, socialising with friends and dancing.
