1. Patrick Demarchelier is a French fashion photographer. He has
had experience of photographing for Vogue, Elle and Calvin Klein.
His photos try to highlight on the darker and perhaps hidden side
of an individual that others are unaware of. He uses lighting
and/or a monochrome colour palette to his advantage to do this.
The emotions on the models’ faces also reinforce this dark side. I
like these photos because they all give the impression of a hidden
meaning.

2. Jan Welters is a fashion photographer
who has worked for multiple famous
magazines such as Vogue, Elle and Marie
Claire. I really like his photographic style
as I think the lighting he uses really
enhances the depth and meaning of the
photo, as well as the features of the
model. The facial expressions of the
models help create a personal element
to the readers as they look like they are
letting them in to their personal
emotions, making the photo more
powerful.
