Greenville, S.C., October 24, 2017 – Greenville based Mattress by Appointment, LLC is honored to announce the
beginning of a strategic partnership with Fostering Great Ideas, an organization dedicated to improving the lives
of children as they struggle in foster care. Fostering Great Ideas employs a variety of impactful initiatives designed
to create awareness, develop child advocacy, and ultimately affect positive change in the lives of children.
Mattress by Appointment, LLC locally owned by Edwin Shoffner, is a national mattress retail business consisting of
over 300 locations throughout the United States. Shoffner broke away from the old and outdated retail business
models in order to create a new, transformative model that changes the lives of both consumers and business
owners alike. Wanting to make a difference has been a driving force behind Shoffner’s company, which has
experienced exponential growth year over year under his leadership.

$4,000, to the Great Big Benefit Bash. It is the number one selling mattress in the entire industry; Shoffner and
the Mattress by Appointment team wanted to make an impactful donation as a precursor to the groundbreaking
partnership that will fundamentally change the lives of Upstate children in foster care.
David White, Founder and CEO of Fostering Great Ideas, has been working closely with Shoffner and Mattress by
Appointment on a number of forthcoming philanthropic initiatives to be kicked off with the Great Big Benefit Bash,
