4. SPONSORSHIP LETTER
Thank you for taking the time to review and consider our sponsorship proposal. This
proposal will discuss the opportunity to form a mutually beneficial partnership
between you, as our sponsor, and Homestead For Youth. Your sponsorship investment
will enable us to purchase our 148 acre Meelon farm and continue to provide refuge for
over 600 clients per year. Clients seeking hope from teen suicide, mental health, domestic
violence, addictions and family trauma. Homestead For Youth needs your help to raise $1.4
million by 2020, which includes a payment of $780,000 that is due by the end of February
2019.
To ensure the continued success of “Homestead For Youth”, and our #ChangeTheStory on
youth suicide movement, we are seeking financial support and key stakeholder’s
involvement. We therefore, take this opportunity to invite you to partner with us in
securing better futures for our youth and their families. We hope that this presentation will
ignite the flame within you to become a part of “changed” stories.
We would be incredibly grateful if you could take a few minutes of your time to look at the
sponsorship opportunities enclosed and generously support us. We look forward to
discussing the partnership opportunities with you and look forward to working with you.
We thank you in anticipation,
Yours sincerely

5. Homestead For Youth is a not for profit organization committed to empowering young people
at risk, (and their families) by providing residential services, mentoring, counselling, holistic and
innovative therapies and psychology care in the homely setting of their Meelon farm.
With a focus on fixing the gaps in our youth development and mental health system, some of
Homestead For Youth’s unique and successful outcomes-based therapy approaches include:
residential “family style” recovery home, hands-on programs (e.g. equine therapy and car
restoration), empowering and strength based suicide prevention messages, and sensory animal
farm therapy (the first in Western Australia).
The team at Homestead For Youth believe that if everyone plays a small part in empowering,
supporting and strengthening young people, we can, together, make a big difference in so
many young lives!
Who Are We?
6. The Vision For H4Y
Our Vision
Our dedicated Board, passionate volunteers and so many members of the
Western Australian community are working hard to achieve our Vision;
“To engage youth and families through a faith based rural family
environment, using hands-on therapies that restore lives & transform
communities.”
Our Mission
In order to achieve our Vision, we are working daily on a Mission of:
“Bringing safe refuge & restoration to youth.”
The Big Picture
With ongoing community support and corporate sponsorship we will see
growth in our existing services; enabling us to reach and change more
lives. In addition to our current programs we would offer a larger respite
care service, educational support and a unique work readiness program,
equipping us to impact more than 600 lives per week under an easily
duplicable model.
“Youth Suicide in Australia is the highest it’s been in 10 years.”

Kate
“When I came to Homestead For Youth I was scared and I didn’t want to
do anything, because I thought it was just teaching. Now I enjoy coming
here and spending time with the horses. When I’m with Blizzard it makes
me feel happy. At camp I learnt to love myself no matter what and don’t
compare yourself to other people. I would definitely tell my friends to
come here if they needed any help.”
Jodie
“I’ve got four kids. We’ve all been involved in Homestead For Youth. I
needed support as a mother. I was struggling with parenting, juggling with
each one of my children in different ways. They were struggling with
emotions, low self esteem and anger. We just really needed some family
support. The kids were quite nervous coming out but felt really relaxed
with the farm environment. I would definitely recommend Homestead For
Youth to families. I really think it’s good to have a holistic approach where
the whole family can get the help and therapy not just the one child.”

14. Alarming Statistics
“1 in 7 young Australians experience mental health condition”
“Suicide is the biggest killer of young Australians and accounts for the deaths of more young
people than car accidents.”
“There is, on average, 6 suicides a day.”
At Homestead For Youth, we believe that if everyone plays a part in empowering, supporting
and strengthening young people, we can, together, make a big difference in so many young
lives.
We welcome your support and help to rewrite the stories of our youth, so they don’t end up
part of the current statistics. Let’s break the cycles while we can.
You too can
change the
story.
