1. Agriculture
• Committed to introduce 2nd Green Revolution; Protein revolution Proposes
Rs 500 cr farm price stabilisation fund
• Allocated Rs 200 crores for Agriculture University in AP and Rajasthan, and
Horticulture University in Haryana, Telangana
• Allocated Rs 100 crore to set up Agriculture Infrastructure Fund
• Proposed to initiate scheme to provide a soil health card; allocated Rs 100
crore towards this and Rs 56 crore for soil testing labs across the country
• Allocated Rs 1000 crore for improving irrigation tracts
• Proposed to provide finance to 5 lakh landless farmers through NABARD
• Announced that state governments be encouraged to develop farming
markets
