• 45% profit on pizzas, 60% on
soda.
• Advertise with flyers and

• Important to our presence in
the College of Engineering
• We make about $6,000 a year

• Participant registration has covered event costs for

• Several large donations from firms in Omaha
• Associated with Corporate sponsorship of the
Fun Run
• Also help us with planning and
recruitment for Fun Run
• Majority of our Fundraising Revenue

EWB-USA Grants
• Yearly success obtaining grants after some initial
stumbling
• Beneficial since there is no up front cost to write.

UNL College of Engineering
Support
• The College of Engineering donates about $6,000 per
year to our chapter to cover 2/3 of faculty travel costs
• Money available annually from Engineering Student
Advisory Board (eSAB)
• We always ask for funds because if you don’t ask,
you have no chance to receive funding

• Fun Run and associated corporate donations – largest
revenue source
• Grant writing process – challenging but rewarding
• Pizza Thursday – revenue AND name recognition
• Money from UNL College of Engineering

• Local Restaurant Fundraisers
• Painfully low revenue
• Restaurants reluctant to donate under agreed terms
• Sporting event concessions
• Not a lot of income for demanding work and rules
