Constitution Writing
     In Ancient Greece

   ~ By, Emma & Eilish ~
What is a constitution,
ANYWAYS!? !
1. It defines the
   government
2. It also defines the
rights of us, the
citizens!
3. The constitution is
the basic rules of the
states!
The USA Constitution
We the people....
Fundamental laws of the United States is the
constitution.
The US constitution was written when
freedom was granted from the English
monarchy.
It was written in spring come summer of
1787.
55 delegates/ people wrote the constitution.
Only 39 out of 55 people signed the
constitution.
Even though the US is young our
constitution has been in effect the longest.
The US constitution has 27 amendments,
They are an alteration of addition to a
document,
The first 10 amendments are known as the
bill of rights.
The constitution
encourages
everyone to be
equal. :)
The constitution is basic guidelines of what is
expected from the people.

Outlines of the
Athens
Constitution:
● Every citizen has duties
● Military service
-To be a citizen is to be a
solider
Athens did not have a
constitution in a form of a
document but they did have
one.
The Athens constitution started because
groups of people did not get along.
This constitution granted political rights to
the lower social classes.
The Athens constitution wanted everyone to
be equal.
Athens is famous for intilelonial freedom.
The Athens constitution placed people into 3
social classes...
Horsemen
Horsemen where the richest people in all of
Athens. They were considered members of
the ruling class.
Yorkmen
This social class usually had to work very
very hard for money.
And Slaves
Slaves served other people.
The Athenian constitution is no longer in
effect.
This is because.....
The athens constitution generally worked but
it was flawed, very flawed.
And Now The Big Question.....
HOW DID
ATHENS START
DEMOCRACEY!?!
Athens constructed the first known
Constitution,
Athens also had the first form of a
government, excluding a monarchy.
And thats a really big deal.
If it weren't for Athens Then the majority of
the world could still be governed by by a
monarchy.
Also, If Athens did not have a
constitution, The American Constitution would
MOST LIKELY not exist.
Thanks for Watching!
Emma and Eilishs Amazing
