ENTICE is a Knowledge Alliance for Higher Education project and is co-funded by the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union.
It aims to use co-creative methodologies to build a solid creation pipeline for medical experiential content bringing together a network of academics, medical educators and industrial content creators.

The 3-year project consists of 8
partners across Europe
connecting Universities with
businesses and civil society
groups.

2. Key Actions
Identify methodologies and
approaches for immersive and
tangible resources use.
Design and optimise a
workflow for collaboration
between educators and
developers in experiential
content creation.
Create education-centric
experiential resources.
Confirm outcomes through multi-
centric evaluation.
Optimise and exploit the efficacy
and economy of produced
resources.
The project aims to innovate in
the field of digital learning in
Medical Education, by creating
experiential educational
episodes based on specific
learning objectives from the
overall domains of anatomy and
surgery.
The project leverages tangible
(i.e., 3D prints) and intangible
(.i.e, Augmented Reality, Virtual
Reality and Mixed Reality)
resources in these educational
episodes to achieve superior
immersion and support
excellence in training and
patients' safety.
The
Challenge
A core need for medical students
and practitioners is the hands-on
acquisition of pre-clinical and
clinical skills, which constitute
some of the most resource-
intensive endeavours in medical
education (e.g. Anatomy, Surgery).
Physical tagngible resources and
opportunities for such training are
objectively inadequate due to the
cadavers’ shortage worldwide.
There is a clear need for quality
immersive medical simulation
resources and episodes.
