This is an effective
poster, which I like
because the
photograph is eye
catching and it is
very simple in
what the message
is trying to portray.
This is my
favourite poster
because although
being simple, I
think it is effective
and engages the
audience due to
the simplicity.
The conventions are a logo, giving us an insight to what channel the programme is
being shown on, there is also a title, which is intriguing making the audience want to
watch the documentary and finally the image makes the audience try to understand or
interpret what the documentary is going to tell.

Personally, I don’t like
this as an audience
myself because of the
colours. I think it is
effective however as the
title is in the centre of
the page and placed
purposefully over her
face. Again it works
well due to its
simplicity and lack of
information.
The conventions are a the
logo, giving us an insight

on. The image makes the
audience try to understand
or interpret what the
documentary is going to
tell. The timing that is
being shown tells the
audience what age group it
is suitable for.

images works well
because it gives an

This DPS is full of
information and
pictures ultimately
making it more
interesting as there
is a variety for the
audience to view.
This is my favourite
DPS because it has a
lot going on, giving
the audience enough
information about
the topic, it has a
wide variety across.
The conventions are subtitles, titles, photos and contextual information this all
contributes to the readers understanding of the article.

This DPS is again, full of
information and pictures ultimately
making it more interesting as there
is a variety for the audience to
view. However it looks more
serious and dull, I think due to the
colours. The layout is good and
quite simple, keeping it easy for
the audience to understand.
The codes and conventions is a
main title, sub-headlines and
images again making it interesting
for all readers and easy to
understand the context of the
newspaper.
