5. Copy One Course to Another
STEP 6
Click “Select All” to make an exact copy of the course, or check
course materials under the content areas that you want to copy
into the new course.
6. Copy One Course to Another
STEP 7 In the “File Attachments” section, select “Copy links and copies
of the content.”
7. Dig Deeper: For “Course Files” Options
• “Copy Links to Course Files”: We do not
recommend this option. When you choose this
option, the copies of linked files will not be
included in the copy. The copied course will have
the same set of links and those links will point
back to the original location of the link defined in
the origin course.
8. Dig Deeper: For “Course Files” Options
• “Copy links and copies of the content”: We
recommend that you use this option. When you
choose this option, the copies of linked files will be
included in the copy.
9. Dig Deeper: For “Course Files” Options
• “Copy links and copies of the content (include
entire course home folder)”: We do not
recommend this option because it will take content
that is not actually used by the course. When you
choose this option, this will make copies of all files
in the course home folder regardless of whether
those files are linked to course content or not.
10. Copy One Course into Another
STEP 8 Leave the “Include Enrollments in the Copy” option unchecked
because you do not want to bring over the users from the previous
course. (1)
STEP 9 Click “Submit.” (2)

11. Important Note
Please do not open the destination course in
Blackboard right away. Please wait for the notification
from your TTU email that notifies the successful course
copy process.
12. From this task, you have learned how to copy everything from
one course into another course by using the “Course Copy”
function.
