2. Why ?
Why is my product suited to the Warner Music Group?
I will be producing a digipak, Music video and advert. The genre of music I am basing my product on is rock music. This
makes my product well suited to the Warner Music Group because the Warner Music Group is home to artists such as
Led Zeppelin, Linkin Park, Red Hot Chili Peppers and Metallica. These are all massive rock bands. The Warner Music
Group is a subsidiary to the huge company conglomerate Warner Bros. This means that synergy can be used to use
mass promotion to increase the chance of my product being successful.
3. My Idea
I will be creating a music video for the song ‘Under the Bridge’ by the Red Hot Chili
Peppers. I will also be creating a digital for and an advert for this. I believe that my
target will be successful due to research I have conducted before creating my product. I
have analysed my target audience and conventions of genre therefore I can make sure
that my product targets the interests of target audience and conventions of genre. My
idea will also be successful due to help from a large media institution such as the
Warner Music Group. The Warner music group can help to promote and increase
popularity of my product therefore increasing it’s success.
4. Target Audience
My target audience are males aged 16-19. This target audience is
stereotypical for the rock genre as the target audience are
predominantly teenage boys. I will make sure my product is
aimed at my target audience by making it more masculine and
aggressive. I will do this by featuring aggressive and violent
scenes in my music video. And dark and aggressive colours in my
digipak.
