Introduction
BEST, Board of European Students of Technology is a constantly growing non-profit and non-political organisation. Provides
communication, co-operation and exchange possibilities for students all over Europe. Members of BEST are volunteers which
organize different activities for other students and try to cooperate with companies and Universities.
Vision - EMPOWERED DIVERSITY
People understand and respect different cultures and societies. The environment of empowered diversity supports people in
applying their full potential and acting responsibly.
Mission - DEVELOPING STUDENTS

Complementary education - BEST Season Events
Explanation
We provide short-term courses that allow participating students to develop themselves technically in their own field of study, in
a new one academical field or even in skills that will help them in their future career (leadership, facilitation, project
management etc) and can be on basic or on advanced level (basic courses or advanced courses). While sharing experience with
students from other cultures and developing their softskills, the participants have a chance to enrich their overall university
experience.

Schedule
Academic part
All participants will become on the first days familiar with the basics of developing mobile applications for Android and the
Android Studio environment. Participants will work individually on smaller tasks assigned by a lector. On Wednesday they will
have completed the basics of ”skeleton app”.
On Thursday all 35 participants will be divided into 7 teams, each containing 5 members. The task of teams will be adding
extra functionality/ies to the ”skeleton app”.
On Friday afternoon teams will be presenting their apps. The judges will choose the best team. The winners will receive prizes.
After succesfull presentation, participants will get Course Certificate during the Closing ceremony.
Place for academic part is provided by TUKE with the requested amount of computers.

To apply to this activity, local students from Technical University of Kosice could fill application form. Organisers will select
the participants based on these forms in cooperation with partner companies and University.
Students will get a chance to experience:
basics of Android development,
working in an internationally involved team with an insight in different perspectives and understanding of colleagues from
across the Europe,
level of soft skills during final presentations
