5. Explain the relevance of hxstory to current APIDA issues
a. The word hxstory is used to redefine how we been taught "history" from the "winner's"
perspective which often skews what we "know" about ourselves and the world. Hxstory is an
inclusive term that symbolizes the many different untold hxstories that we have never been
taught in educational institutions. Additionally, the word hxstory resembles the contributions of
womxn and those who do not gender identity to resist patriarchal society and a gendered
hxstory.

the past
