state of Illinois and city of Chicago from where he was elected as Senator as well. Barack Obama was born in Honolulu, Hawaii on August 4th, 1961.

Obama's father, also named Barack Hussein Obama, grew up in a small village in Nyanza Province, Kenya, as a member of the Luo ethnicity. He
won a scholarship to study economics at the University of Hawaii, where he met and married Ann Dunham, a white woman from Wichita, Kansas,
whose father had worked on oil rigs during the Great Depression and fought with the U.S. Army in World War II before moving his family to
Hawaii in 1959. Obama's parents later separated, and Barack Sr. went back to Kenya; he would see his son only once more before dying in a car
accident in 1982. After remarrying an Indonesian man, Lolo Soetoro, Ann moved with her young son to Jakarta in the late 1960s, where she worked
at the U.S. embassy. In 1970, Obama returned to Hawaii to live with his maternal grandparents. He attended the Punahou School, an elite private
school where, as he wrote in his 1995 memoir, Dreams from My Father, he first began to understand the tensions inherent in his mixed racial
background. Obama also struggled with the absence of his father, who he saw only once more after

How Did Barack Obama's Fight For Equality
The Barack Obama's presidency showed the world how far the United States has come in its fight for equality for all people no matter what race,
religion, or ethnic background they come from. President Obama was the first man who had a parent who was African American to attain the highest
position in the land. From slavery where African Americans had no right at all in this country, to a fair national election that all the citizens over 18 in
our nation could participate in, and had a free choice to pick who would became the 2008 President. They choose Barack Obama. His election is one of
the most important events of the 21st Century. It proves to the world that America is truly the land of the free. Individual freedoms to succeed is a right

Essay on Biography of President Barack Obama
Obama's Presidency
Barack Obama was born in Honolulu, Hawaii on August 4th, 1961. He went to Harvard Law School. After his graduation, continued his legal work
as a civil rights lawyer and a professor teaching constitutional law at the University of Chicago. He was elected to the Illinois State Senate in 1996. He
served there for three terms (1996–2004). Later on, he started his campaign in 2007 for the presidential election in 2008. He won the presidential
election against John McCain, his Republican opponent and started serving in the office in January 20, 2009. He became the 44th President of The

They are still debating over the solution for this.
"In term of foreign policy, he is indecisive" –Bui, 36. According to what he said, Mr. Obama often gives late decisions. He is not good at dealing with
other countries. Ukraine and Eastern Sea are one of the obvious proofs. China and Russia have been very daring lately; America is losing respect
in both term of economy and military. Israel is another country to concern. Imagine if there is no Israel, all those Middle Eastern countries are
sharing the same belief. They will eventually team up, create their own Alliance and only God knows what they can do with that. The world
doesn't need another version of Germany in World War 2. According to Jenifer Rubin from The Washington Post, in an article she said "President
Obama gave an interview in which he viciously attacked Israel, suggesting that Israel was the cause of the peace process failure, that the United
States could no longer protect Israel if the peace process failed". Mr. Obama should consider that keeping Israel strong is a good thing to do right
now. A strong Israel means that Middle East is unstable. Israel's neighbor countries will keep being suspicious in every moves Israel made. They will
be busy dealing with each other. In another word, it will prevent them to unify.
However, American should consider the good that he has done for this country. He ended the war with Iraq as the last troop left in 2011. He

Comparison and Contrast–Donald Trump and Barack Obama–
Both of these presidents, former and current, have opinions on what America should be moving towards, to better the country. These presidents have
both done their fair share for this country already, though Trump has only been in office for a year, while Obama has been in office for a full term,
then was re elected for another. They both, though, like all things, have many similarities and differences, these things are likely affected by their party,
and mindset, along with their personality. For instance, Obama is apart of the Democratic party, while Trump is apart of the Republican party, making
their outlook on America and things like taxes and abortion, different. Differences...show more content...
Both point of views draw in different people to side with the two former candidates, leading into the popular, and electoral votes. For Donald, there is
of course lots of controversy on popular and electoral votes, rigging the system with Russia, etc. Trump had a total of 62,979,636 votes losing to Clinton
in the 2016 race for presidency. But the thing that "matters the most" (not the people of America) but the electoral votes, pushed Trump to presidency.
In the 2008 presidential vote, Obama gained 69,498,516 votes outnumbering his competition, John McCain by almost 10 million. Also, outnumbering
McCain by electoral votes (365–173). To sum up, Obama and Trump have a lot of differences, differences that I could continue on listing if I didn't
have to get on the the similarities.
Similarities between Trump and Obama vary between different subjects. Different subjects include political outlooks, rather than actual personal, and
educational similarities. For instance, Donald is a republican, meaning his outlook would be the outlook of a, well, republican. But some statements
intertwine with some statements of those of Obama's, relating to politics. Gay rights, making voter registration easier, marijuana being a gateway drug
(both say no), and various other issues. From an education standpoint, there isn't much to relate either. Both presidents went to college and graduated, it
is what further education they get after college,

Barack Obama Legacy
Throughout the history of the United States, we have had presidents from all walks of life. Some good, some not. All have left behind a legacy.
Some were more memorable then others, and some just down right horrendous. Barack Obama has been the United States President for the last
seven years. He has spent almost 2 terms in office passing bills, creating new policies, and bettering the lives of Americans. While not everybody
loves him, it would be a hard to argue that he hasn't gotten a lot done while he's been in office. For example, he has started the process of creating
affordable health care that is accessibly available to all Americans. He has helped restore the economy after one of the biggest recessions the U.S. Has

Barack Obama, born August 4, 1961 is the current and first African–American president of the United States of America. Barack Obama is married to
First Lady Michelle Obama and together have two children, Malia and Sasha.
President Obama was elected November 4, 2008 and is still currently running in the office as President. Obama believes in change and is his inaugural
focus for each campaign and overall aim of being President of the United States.
The famous "Yes We Can" speech was delivered byBarack Obama, the first African–American President of the United States on January 8, 2008 in
New Hampshire prior to being elected November 4, 2008. "Yes We Can" is the campaign slogan of Obama's that enforces change among the people

States of America.
This speech is said to be historic in the power, inspirational features and hope for unification among the people. He mentions justice, equality,
opportunity and prosperity which are all factors of that of the American Dream. This speech has made history for Obama and many believe was the

many. Bush had lied, ignored, forsaken the people

In his State of the Union Address for 2016, Barack Obama uses logical and ethical arguments to emphasize shared ground rather than partisan disputes.
He also taps into the audience's desire to feel better about themselves and their country. By using humor and irony, Obama paints his opponents into
corners, out of which it would require outrageous extremism to effectively squirm away. At its best, this approach demonstrates how much Americans
actually have in common in a culture dominated by ideologically polarized cable–news channels, Facebook, and cultural tribes that increasingly live
and socialize apart from one another. The president's technique throughout the speech is to frame issues through a rhetorical jujitsu to persuade his

Using rhetorical jujitsu, he reframes Republican arguments into a context that ensures that his own policies appear very strong. His opponents in the
audience were often at a loss, never confident in whether or not they should applaud. Paul Ryan, visible throughout, makes it very hard to discern what
policies he supports and opposes by basically having no reaction at all. He shifts uncomfortably in his chair throughout the speech, and barely claps for
anything. Obama's emphasis on a shared American identity (55:00) is ultimately a criticism against both right and left–against the sort of right–winger
who sees Obama himself as a strange foreigner and the sort left–winger who sees ethnic or gender identity as the most important aspect of an
individual's identity. Obama's rhetoric at odds with both of

In 2004, Barrack Hussein Obama was a little–known state senator from Illinois. As Saturday Night Live put it, in 2007 he "stumbled out of a soup

Obama begins the speech by stating, "On behalf of the great state of Illinois, crossroads of a nation, land of Lincoln..." (Obama 1). This start to the
address immediately sets into people's mind that he is not just a nobody, he is a state senator. Additionally, he ties himself to Lincoln through their
shared home state. This seems to make the audience more apt to listen to Obama, which is very effective. Obama then turns to the stated purpose of his
speech, promoting nominee John Kerry, saying "...a man to lead us who embodies the best this country has to offer." (Obama 3). This acknowledges
Kerry's nomination for president from the Democratic Party. Additionally, it announces Obama's belief that Kerry truly is the best nominee that the
party has to offer. When he later states all of the things that he believes embody the best of John Kerry, he sticks to non–partisan issues; healthcare,
energy independence, freedom, and hard work take the forefront of his list. This list coupled with the anaphora ("John Kerry believes") further enforce
the point that John Kerry is the best choice for president. His statement "...in a dangerous world, war should never be the first option." (Obama 3)
juxtaposes Kerry with the Republican candidate, George Bush, who was criticized for rushing into the Afghanistan War. This raises Kerry relative to
his opponent. The juxtaposition is a powerful

As a staffer for the Developing Communities Project, Obama worked with churches on the city's industrial South Side to organize workers who had
lost their jobs due to the steel mill and factory closings.
After three years in some of the toughest neighborhoods of Chicago, Obama decided to attend Harvard Law School, promising to return to these same

six–figure job with a prestigious law firm.
Instead he chose to keep his promise. He returned to Chicago in 1991 where he joined a small civil rights firm and ran a voter registration drive that
put 150,000 new voters on the rolls, helping Bill Clinton carry Illinois in 1992.
In 1996 he was elected state senator from his Chicago district. In the Illinois Legislature, Obama worked with Democrats and Republicans to help
working families get ahead by creating a state Earned Income Tax Credit. He also pushed through expansion of an early childhood education program.

his early adolescence, which he eventually cleared up. However, Obama was well aware of the racial split going on and he wanted to be someone

Barack Obama Research Paper

  • 1. Barack Obama Research Paper Obama's Presidency Barack Obama was inaugurated as the 44th President of the United States, making history by becoming the first African American to serve in the office on January 20, 2009. He has always been a leader in a true sense. Even before becoming the 44th United States President and holding two terms at the office, Obama was an incredible politician and was revered by the American public especially from his home state of Illinois and city of Chicago from where he was elected as Senator as well. Barack Obama was born in Honolulu, Hawaii on August 4th, 1961. The son of a white American mother and a black Kenyan father, Obama grew up in Hawaii, His mother was still a student when she gave birth to Barack Obama and Obama lived with his maternal grandparents for a few years while his mother...show more content... Obama's father, also named Barack Hussein Obama, grew up in a small village in Nyanza Province, Kenya, as a member of the Luo ethnicity. He won a scholarship to study economics at the University of Hawaii, where he met and married Ann Dunham, a white woman from Wichita, Kansas, whose father had worked on oil rigs during the Great Depression and fought with the U.S. Army in World War II before moving his family to Hawaii in 1959. Obama's parents later separated, and Barack Sr. went back to Kenya; he would see his son only once more before dying in a car accident in 1982. After remarrying an Indonesian man, Lolo Soetoro, Ann moved with her young son to Jakarta in the late 1960s, where she worked at the U.S. embassy. In 1970, Obama returned to Hawaii to live with his maternal grandparents. He attended the Punahou School, an elite private school where, as he wrote in his 1995 memoir, Dreams from My Father, he first began to understand the tensions inherent in his mixed racial background. Obama also struggled with the absence of his father, who he saw only once more after Get more content on HelpWriting.net

Barak made a healthcare program that has been modified to include more people it is called Obamacare. Obama is a good leader because he is persuasive and a diligent worker. Consequently, his career before have created a great foundation for the leadership that he exhibits today. "Today I say to you that the challenges we face are real. They are serious and they are many. They will not be met easily or in a short span of time. But know this, America: They will be met." (" Barack Obama Biography.") This quote by Barack Obama surmised his political career throughout the course of time that lead up to his present leadership position. Some of the careers that he took up the vocation of a lecturer there he taught constitutional law at the University of Chicago Law School (University of Chicago Law School) then a lawyer in Illinois. How Did Barack Obama's Fight For Equality The Barack Obama's presidency showed the world how far the United States has come in its fight for equality for all people no matter what race, religion, or ethnic background they come from. President Obama was the first man who had a parent who was African American to attain the highest position in the land. From slavery where African Americans had no right at all in this country, to a fair national election that all the citizens over 18 in our nation could participate in, and had a free choice to pick who would became the 2008 President. They choose Barack Obama. His election is one of the most important events of the 21st Century. It proves to the world that America is truly the land of the free. • 4. Essay on Biography of President Barack Obama Obama's Presidency Barack Obama was born in Honolulu, Hawaii on August 4th, 1961. He went to Harvard Law School. After his graduation, continued his legal work as a civil rights lawyer and a professor teaching constitutional law at the University of Chicago. He was elected to the Illinois State Senate in 1996. He served there for three terms (1996–2004). Later on, he started his campaign in 2007 for the presidential election in 2008. He won the presidential election against John McCain, his Republican opponent and started serving in the office in January 20, 2009. He became the 44th President of The United States of America. He is more well–known for being the first African–American who ever served in The White House. During his terms, he...show more content... They are still debating over the solution for this. "In term of foreign policy, he is indecisive" –Bui, 36. According to what he said, Mr. Obama often gives late decisions. He is not good at dealing with other countries. Ukraine and Eastern Sea are one of the obvious proofs. China and Russia have been very daring lately; America is losing respect in both term of economy and military. Israel is another country to concern. Imagine if there is no Israel, all those Middle Eastern countries are sharing the same belief. They will eventually team up, create their own Alliance and only God knows what they can do with that. The world doesn't need another version of Germany in World War 2. According to Jenifer Rubin from The Washington Post, in an article she said "President Obama gave an interview in which he viciously attacked Israel, suggesting that Israel was the cause of the peace process failure, that the United States could no longer protect Israel if the peace process failed". Mr. Obama should consider that keeping Israel strong is a good thing to do right now. A strong Israel means that Middle East is unstable. Israel's neighbor countries will keep being suspicious in every moves Israel made. They will be busy dealing with each other. In another word, it will prevent them to unify. However, American should consider the good that he has done for this country. He ended the war with Iraq as the last troop left in 2011. He Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 5. Comparison and Contrast–Donald Trump and Barack Obama– Both of these presidents, former and current, have opinions on what America should be moving towards, to better the country. These presidents have both done their fair share for this country already, though Trump has only been in office for a year, while Obama has been in office for a full term, then was re elected for another. They both, though, like all things, have many similarities and differences, these things are likely affected by their party, and mindset, along with their personality. For instance, Obama is apart of the Democratic party, while Trump is apart of the Republican party, making their outlook on America and things like taxes and abortion, different. Differences...show more content... Both point of views draw in different people to side with the two former candidates, leading into the popular, and electoral votes. For Donald, there is of course lots of controversy on popular and electoral votes, rigging the system with Russia, etc. Trump had a total of 62,979,636 votes losing to Clinton in the 2016 race for presidency. But the thing that "matters the most" (not the people of America) but the electoral votes, pushed Trump to presidency. In the 2008 presidential vote, Obama gained 69,498,516 votes outnumbering his competition, John McCain by almost 10 million. Also, outnumbering McCain by electoral votes (365–173). To sum up, Obama and Trump have a lot of differences, differences that I could continue on listing if I didn't have to get on the the similarities. Similarities between Trump and Obama vary between different subjects. Different subjects include political outlooks, rather than actual personal, and educational similarities. For instance, Donald is a republican, meaning his outlook would be the outlook of a, well, republican. But some statements intertwine with some statements of those of Obama's, relating to politics. Gay rights, making voter registration easier, marijuana being a gateway drug (both say no), and various other issues. From an education standpoint, there isn't much to relate either. Both presidents went to college and graduated, it is what further education they get after college, Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 6. Personality Traits Of Barack Obama Traits Theories (1920s–1930s) – Case Study of Barack Obama Drive Barack Obama shows initiative to be the leader of USA. In 2000, he failed in the election of United States House of Representatives. However, he ambition pushed him to put a lot of efforts after that. He increases his recognition after his speech in 2004 and finally become the president of USA (Leanne, 2010). Desire to lead Barack Obama has a strong desire to influence and lead others. In 2012 re–election, Obama has said "I guarantee you, we will move this country forward," ("Barack Obama Biography," n.d.). This proves that he is willing to bear the responsibilities to lead the others. Honesty and Integrity Barack Obama has built trusting relationship with his followers after being the president of USA. According to Quinnipiac poll, there were nearly 60 percent of voters trusted their president in 2011 due to consistency between his deed...show more content... He has said "We'll remind the world just why it is that the United States of America is the greatest nation on Earth." at a campaign event in 2012 re–election ("Barack Obama Biography," n.d.). Hence, his followers can have enough confidence in his goals. Intelligence Barack Obama has the intelligence to gather information and solve problems. The Personality Profile of President Barack Obama: Leadership Implications (2016) found that he uses mediation instead of coercion to avoid unnecessary conflicts (Ecoggins, 2016). Therefore, the decisions can be made in a peaceful way and reduce some unnecessary conflicts. Job–relevant knowledge Barack Obama has high degree of knowledge about political matters. According to White House, he attended law school at Harvard University and taught constitutional law at the University of Chicago. Some were more memorable then others, and some just down right horrendous. Barack Obama has been the United States President for the last seven years. He has spent almost 2 terms in office passing bills, creating new policies, and bettering the lives of Americans. While not everybody loves him, it would be a hard to argue that he hasn't gotten a lot done while he's been in office. For example, he has started the process of creating affordable health care that is accessibly available to all Americans. He has helped restore the economy after one of the biggest recessions the U.S. Has ever seen. He has...show more content... Not only has Obama helped them to find a voice, he has helped them fight for rights in equality and justice for all. A great example of this would be the African Americans of theUnited States. As a fellow African American, Mr. Obama has been a leading figure in the fight, and has shown people that there is a better way that doesn't involve fighting to get your point across. Mr. Obama has also helped in the fight for homosexuals and gaining equality for this minority group. He also taps into the audience's desire to feel better about themselves and their country. By using humor and irony, Obama paints his opponents into corners, out of which it would require outrageous extremism to effectively squirm away. At its best, this approach demonstrates how much Americans actually have in common in a culture dominated by ideologically polarized cable–news channels, Facebook, and cultural tribes that increasingly live and socialize apart from one another. The president's technique throughout the speech is to frame issues through a rhetorical jujitsu to persuade his opponents,...show more content... Using rhetorical jujitsu, he reframes Republican arguments into a context that ensures that his own policies appear very strong. His opponents in the audience were often at a loss, never confident in whether or not they should applaud. Paul Ryan, visible throughout, makes it very hard to discern what policies he supports and opposes by basically having no reaction at all. He shifts uncomfortably in his chair throughout the speech, and barely claps for anything. Obama's emphasis on a shared American identity (55:00) is ultimately a criticism against both right and left–against the sort of right–winger who sees Obama himself as a strange foreigner and the sort left–winger who sees ethnic or gender identity as the most important aspect of an individual's identity. As Saturday Night Live put it, in 2007 he "stumbled out of a soup kitchen with a basketball and a cigarette". However, in 2004, he got his first piece of nationwide exposure when he delivered the keynote speech to the Democratic National Convention. Despite the relatively low coverage of the speech by major cable news networks, videos of the speech have garnered over twelve million views on YouTube. Obama begins the speech by stating, "On behalf of the great state of Illinois, crossroads of a nation, land of Lincoln..." (Obama 1). This start to the address immediately sets into people's mind that he is not just a nobody, he is a state senator. Additionally, he ties himself to Lincoln through their shared home state. This seems to make the audience more apt to listen to Obama, which is very effective. Obama then turns to the stated purpose of his speech, promoting nominee John Kerry, saying "...a man to lead us who embodies the best this country has to offer." (Obama 3). This acknowledges Kerry's nomination for president from the Democratic Party. Additionally, it announces Obama's belief that Kerry truly is the best nominee that the party has to offer. When he later states all of the things that he believes embody the best of John Kerry, he sticks to non–partisan issues; healthcare, energy independence, freedom, and hard work take the forefront of his list. This list coupled with the anaphora ("John Kerry believes") further enforce the point that John Kerry is the best choice for president. His statement "...in a dangerous world, war should never be the first option." (Obama 3) juxtaposes Kerry with the Republican candidate, George Bush, who was criticized for rushing into the Afghanistan War. This raises Kerry relative to his opponent. The juxtaposition is a powerful Get more content on HelpWriting.net

President Obama's organization was excellent, but great organization is only one part of a great speech. Delivery is just as important as organization when giving a speech. If a speaker doesn't appear confident and professional, than the speaker's credibility may be questioned, and the goal of the speech may not be accomplished. President Barack Obama's delivery is his biggest strength. From the moment he stepped on the stage, it was obvious that he was extremely confident. He made sure that he visually scanned the audience and maintained good eye contact. His gestures seemed natural and appropriate.
