This presentation compares the novel Black Skin, White Masks by Frantz Fanon and Robinson Crusoe by Daniel Defoe. Black Skin, White Masks presents postcolonialism and examines the psychological effects of colonialism, race, and the view of black people as inferior to white people. Robinson Crusoe also presents colonialism through the story of a man colonizing an island and his interaction with Friday, though it does not delve into the same psychological and racial dimensions as Black Skin, White Masks.
