I joined State Administrative Service in 1988 and worked in various capacities in various
Government Departments as under:
2. 1. Circle Officer in four districts, namely, Gumla, Ranchi, Dhanbad and Bokaro from
1988 to 1998 (Departmentof Revenue& Land Reforms)
Custodian of land records of a particular Circle.
Updating the land records and ensuring revenue collection.
Holding regular revenue courts for settling land disputes and matter relating to transfer of
land.
Also responsible for maintenance of law & order in the particular Circle.
2. Executive Magistrate, Ranchi from 1998 to 2003 (Department of Personnel &
AdministrativeReforms)
Incharge of the Confidential Section of Deputy Commissioner, Ranchi, Protocol Section
and Arms Section.
As Incharge of Confidential Section dealing with all the confidential files relating to
various issues of district administration.
As Protocol Officer co-ordinating the protocol activities by liaisoning with various
departments as well as with departments of other states.
As Arms Magistrate solely responsible for verification, issuance and renewal of Arms
Licenses.
3. Assistant Director, General Provident Fund in 2004 - 2005 (Department ofFinance)
Mainly responsible for maintenance of provident fund of all government employees and
issuing statement to them.
Instrumental in opening new PF offices in those districts which did not have offices of
their own.
Solely responsible for HR functions of the Directorate throughout the state.
4. Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Ranchi from January 2006 to February, 2008 and Sub-
Divisional Magistrate, Bermo (Bokaro) in 2008-09 (Department of Personnel and
AdministrativeReforms)
Solely responsible for maintenance of law and order within the Sub-Division.
Held regular Courts of Law under specific sections of CRPC such as sections 107, 144,
145 etc.
Responsible for discharging all the duties within the sub-division which are being
performed by Collector at the district level.
3. 5. Deputy Secretary to the Governor of Jharkhand in 2009-10 and additional charge of
the same post from 2010 to 2015 (Departmentof Personnel and Administrative Reforms)
Incharge of the Governor’s Establishment.
Incharge of the protocol functions of Governor House.
Dealt matter relating to constitutional issues like matter pertaining to Bills, Acts,
Assembly etc.
6. Director of Tourism in 2010-11 (Departmentof Tourism)
Responsible for promotion of tourism in the state.
Incharge of the establishment and finance of the Directorate.
Participation in various seminars and fairs at national level related to tourism.
7. Additional Collector, Ranchi from 2011-2012 (Department ofRevenue& Land Reforms)
Incharge of the entire revenue matters of Ranchi District.
Held Revenue Courts to settle disputes regarding transfer of land, ownership of land.
Supervision of the functions of all the revenue officials of the district.
Responsible for transfer of government land to various industries and other institutions.
8. Chief Executive Officer, Ranchi Municipal Corporation in 2012-2013 (Department of
Urban Development)
Performing the functions of Municipal Commissioner.
Discharging multifarious functions in the field of solid waste management, town
planning, development of urban infrastructure etc.
9. Director of Industries from Feb. 2014 to October, 2014 (Departmentof Industries)
Mainly concerned with industrial promotional activities within the state.
Discharging functions related to incentives to the industries.
Facilitating the signing of new MoUs and renewal of old MoUs with various firms and
organizations.
Participation in various meetings at Government of India level.
Discharging functions as Mission Director, National Processing Mission and facilitated
setting up of many food processing industries.
4. 10. Managing Director, Ranchi Industrial Area Development Authority (RIADA) from
October 2014 onwards (Departmentof Industries)
Responsible for expansion of industrial area within its jurisdiction.
Facilitating the growth of MSME industries.
Creation of infra-structure of industrial areas.
Facilitating the establishment of new industries as Chairman of the Project Clearance
Committee and Land Allotment Committee.
11. Additional charge of Officer-on-Special Duty, Office of the Chief Secretary,
Government of Jharkhand (DepartmentofPersonnel &AdministrativeReforms)
Coordinating the various activities of Chief Secretary’s office.
Monitoring the movement of letters from Government of India, State Government as well
as representation and petition of general public.
Also looking after the public relation activities.
