• investigate the effect of offline
educational resources in
enhancing the grammatical
competence of grade 10
learners.
Background of the study
• Grammar is a very important
language component that
should be mastered by the
learners.
• Results of an online Standard
English Test (SET) revealed a
declining trend in the English
language skills of Filipinos
(Education First, 2019).
Statement of the Problem:
Specifically, it sought to answer
the following:
• What is the level of performance
of the Grade 10 learners in
English before the use of offline
educational resources?
• What is the level of performance
of the Grade 10 learners in
English after the use of offline
educational resources?
Summary:
• Is there a significant relationship
between the level of
performance of the Grade 10
learners in English before and
after the use of offline
educational resources?
Results and Discussion:
Performance of the learners before
exposure to offline educational
resources (Pre-Test)
Mean= 14.30
SD= 4.57
Performance of the learners after
exposure to offline educational
resources
Mean= 24.72
SD=2.45
Results and Discussion:
Difference on the performance of
the learners in Grade 10 English
before and after exposure to
offline educational resources
• Control Group (N=26)
Mean= 21.76, SD = 2.69
• Experimental Group (N=36)
Mean= 24.72, SD= 2.45
• t= -4.41, p=.000022
Significant difference
Conclusion:
• The level of performance of the Grade
10 learners in English was low during
the pretest.
• The level of performance in English of
the Grade 10 learners during the post
test was higher in comparison to their
performance in the pretest.
• There is a significant difference in the
level of performance of the Grade 10
learners in English before and after
using offline educational resources.
• Offline educational resources could
help the Grade 10 learners enhance
their grammar competence.
