The Thirsty Crow
One hot day, a thirsty crow flew all over the fields looking for water.
For a long time, he could not find any. He felt very weak, almost lost
all hope. Suddenly, he saw a water jug below the tree. He flew
straight down to see if there was any water inside. Yes, he could see
some water inside the jug!
The crow tried to push his head into the jug. Sadly, he found that the
neck of the jug was too narrow. Then he tried to push the jug to tilt
for the water to flow out, but the jug was too heavy.
The crow thought hard for a while. Then, looking around it, he saw
some pebbles. He suddenly had a good idea. He started picking up
the pebbles one by one, dropping each into the jug. As more and
more pebbles filled the jug, the water level kept rising. Soon it was
high enough for the crow to drink. His plan had worked!
Moral: Think and work hard, you may find solution to any problem.

The Brave Little Parrot
Long ago, a little grey parrot lived in a green forest. She was a happy bird, and loved to fly.
One day, a dark storm hovered over the forest. It was a stormy time. There was a big thunder
and lightning. The lightning struck an old dead tree. Soon the forest was caught in fire.
The parrot, smelling smoke, flapped her wings and rose up. As she flew, she cried out, “Fire!
Fire! Run! Run to the river!”. She flew to the river and dipped her body and wings in the cool
water. Then she flew back over the raging fire. She continued and continued it thought it was
just a hisssssss!
Suddenly an eagle appeared and shouted “Stop, little parrot! Turn back before it's too late. Turn
back and save yourself, otherwise you will fall into the flames!” But the little parrot only
panted, “I don't need such advice. All I need is help!” And she flew.
Seeing the parrot's deed, the eagle realized how great the parrot's thought was, so he also
joined in. After a while, all the birds joined the parrot and the eagle.
They extinguished the forest fire. All the creatures praised the parrot and other birds for their
great patience and heroic deed.
Moral: Nothing is impossible to accomplish if you devote yourself to work.

Use past structure of the verb except in
Intra-textual dialogue
In Intra-textual dialogue, follow direct
speech punctuation
Write down the moral in present structure
Use suitable adjectives and adverbs
Use discourse makers, e.g. after, then,
moreover, in the end ………….
End your story with a happy ending.
