Use this concentration game to review matching concepts. This example uses concepts from a lesson on how Jesus built the need with the Woman at the Well in Samaria.
2. Please take ten index cards (or pieces of paper) and write
one of these words or phrases on each card:
Seize attention
What?
Stir curiosity
Tell me more!
Stimulate the felt need
I want it!
Surface the real need
I need it!
Satisfy the real need
I got it!
3. Now take your ten cards and
lay them face-down in a
pattern on the table.
4. Choose two cards and turn them face up. If they are one
of the ways to build the need and its matching question,
then you win the pair and take them out of the game.
If they are not a match, turn them face down and try
again.
5. The game ends when the last
pair of cards has been picked up.
6. Answer Key:
Seize attention - What?
Stir curiosity - Tell me more!
Stimulate the felt need - I want it!
Surface the real need - I need it!
Satisfy the real need - I got it!
7. This form of the Concentration
game is a fun way to review
vocabulary with their definitions,
Bible characters with their spouses,
Bible verses with their references,
or any other matching pairs.
8. If the content is very new to your
learners, you may choose to give
them a key with the answers, but
eventually they should be able to
play the game without a key.
