3. FLOWCHART
A flowchart is a formalized graphic representation of a
logic sequence, work or manufacturing process,
organization chart, or similar formalized structure. The
purpose of a flow chart is to provide people with a
common language or reference point when dealing with a
project or process.
4. Document flowcharts, showing controls over a document-flow
through a system
Data flowcharts, showing controls over a data-flow in a system
System flowcharts showing controls at a physical or resource
level
Program flowchart, showing the controls in a program within a
system
5. To develop understanding of how a process is done.
To study a process for improvement.
To communicate to others how a process is done.
When better communication is needed between people involved
with the same process.
To document a process.
When planning a project.
6. Define the process to be diagrammed. Write its title at the top of
the work surface.
Discuss and decide on the boundaries of your process: Where or
when does the process start? Where or when does it end?
Discuss and decide on the level of detail to be included in the
diagram.
Brainstorm the activities that take place. Write each on a card or
sticky note. Sequence is not important at this point, although
thinking in sequence may help people remember all the steps.
Arrange the activities in proper sequence.
When all activities are included and everyone agrees that the
sequence is correct, draw arrows to show the flow of the process.
Review the flowchart with others involved in the process
(workers, supervisors, suppliers, customers) to see if they agree
that the process is drawn accurately

18. TROUBLE SPOTS
The process is too lengthy- It takes a lot of time to firstly register
online and then prepare a DD then submit it to the university.
The admission process is unsystematic- there is no systematic
process as one needs to run from one department to other.
Exhausted-Makes the student exhausted as she needs to run
here and here for one work.
19. Lessons learned
It was interesting to know the use of flowchart to
show the admission process of BBA
It helped us to compare the admission process with
other colleges in the form of flowchart.
We explained the admission process in a better way
and anyone can understand it very nicely with this.
