Experience
MANAGER | MARION FITNESS CLUB | AUGUST 2014-PRESENT
· I am responsible for managing daily operations and employees as well as filling the role of a human resources manager.
I complete all scheduling,payroll, inventory counts and stock, product orders, computer-related tasks, and customer
relations. Every six months I run the Sweat and Sparkle Fitness Camp for teen girls who are going through puberty and
struggling with body image. During my two years here I have decreased labor costs by nearly 15% and have helped
increase memberships from around 190 members to 879 members currently.
Skills & Abilities
MANAGEMENT
· I have been the manager of a gym for nearly 2 years. My duties include managing and guiding all 15 employees daily
with a focus on employee wellbeing, quality, and safety,pursuing a goal of continued process improvement, completing
reports for numerous different business metrics, assigning daily and weekly tasks to employees along with following up
to make sure those tasks were completed, handling sales, dealing with member complaints and compliments, making
executive decisions daily, payroll services, scheduling employees, providing support to co-workers on all aspects of the
organization, filling in in various roles where needed,implementing new programs, events,activities and classes for
members,scheduling service appointments for equipment,and researching new equipment and supplements for our
members.
HUMAN RESOURCES
· I also fill the role of a human resources manager at the Marion Fitness Club. This includes, handing out and collecting
applications and resumes, phone screening and interviewing potential candidates,assisting with newhire paperwork,
including confidential information and tax forms, training, using HRIS software, time sheet reconciliation, payroll, time
off requests, disciplining and/or terminating employees appropriately, finding ways to improve labor efficiency, help
resolve any issues between co-workers, completing payroll through ADP, awarding incentives to increase productivity,
and supervising employees to make sure that they are completing their work effectively and efficiently. I have also been
mentoring with the Human Resources manager of Schilling’s Graphics (Galion, Ohio) for the past two months (February-
Present 2016) in order to better understand the tasks and duties of a human resources employee.

OFFICE ADMINISTRATION
· I am highly computer literate. I am well versed in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft
Outlook, SPSS, and HRIS software. I also have experience using multi-line phone systems, copying, faxing, scanning,
printers, electronic file maintenance, QuickBooks and both Macintosh and PC computers.
CUSTOMER SERVICE
· I handle customer support on a daily basis, in person, through email, and over the phone. I have worked with people of
many different ages and ethnicities. I am in charge of finding solutions to customer complaints as well as rewarding
employees for customer compliments. I am happy,upbeat,and energeticwith every member or customer.
INVENTORY AND PURCHASING
· At the Marion Fitness Club I am in charge of all product orders and inventory. I have developed a system of tracking
when a product needs to be reordered as well as finding which supplier is able to offer us the best deal. I price each item
in order to maximize profit while being fair to the consumer. I also take pride in finding new and unique products and
services to offer to our members and visitors.
OTHER
· I speakbasic French and have a basic understanding of Spanish (large Spanish speaking population at the Marion
Fitness Club).I am experienced in finding unique characteristics within an individualand matching them with an
appropriate job or task. I am organized, reliable, punctual,energetic, and eager to learn. I have completed five full-scale
research projects during my time at Otterbein University.
