My experience of the conference was amazing. On the one hand, exciting
because of the wonderful location, the different JCI members from all
over the world and on the other hand very enriching because you learn a
lot in a short time. The training and the sessions were insightful and
inspired me to keep continuing to stay involved on our community and
our organization. I’ve really gotten a sense of the JCI spirit: Fun, Business
and Friendship !
The Conference of the Americas is the first conference I have participated
in. A couple of things I particularly liked were: meeting JCI fellows from
different countries, exchanging ideas during the various sessions and
workshops and the cultural diversity. I am very proud that I had the op-
portunity to represent JCI Suriname together with Local Presidents:
Rôchelle Rijssel and Roger Wong in the finals of the debate competition,
where we came out against JCI Dutch Caribbean. In addition to the
formal activities, Ialso enjoyed the various parties such as: Global Village,
the Dominican party, and the Miami party. I had
the time of my life at the Hard Rock Hotel where
the conference took place. The hotel is amazing,
the people are very kind and the all inclusiveness
was definitely something else. I can proudly say
that this conference was an experience of a
lifetime!!!.
