2. War communism
War communism is a war of ideologies between capitalism which is followed by
the white army and communism which is followed by the Bolsheviks who were
also called the red army.
Bolsheviks are works for Russia and they were the followers of communism.
Communism means that everything that the industries or businesses get is shared
equally between the citizens which means socially everyone is equal to each other.
Whilst capitalism supports private ownership therefore all the profit belongs to
the business owners not the government.
So these two groups were fighting but not physically.
3. Continuation……
The Bolsheviks wanted to take control of Russia and its food .
They took most of the food from people in Russia by force and beat everyone who
tries to oppose them.
Since the Bolsheviks started to collect grain by force the peasants decided to grow
less grain or hid it somewhere where they will not find it.
This led to the arrest of many peasants because they could not provide more
grains for the Bolsheviks.
4. Communism in the workplace
Most workers were advised to come early else when they come late they were
punished ruthlessly.
They were either fined or retrenched from work.
Workers were not allowed to join trade unions at all only the industry owner or
the communist were allowed to do that.
5. The shortage of food and the rise in prices
The prices rised after sometimes which made the Bolsheviks not to send the good
to the market anymore to sell them rather take the grain by force from the
peasants.
The goods were so expensive and prices so high that it was not so easy to afford it
at all which made many people to go on starvation since poor people were now
providing so little because they were now growing less grain.
The Bolsheviks blamed it on the Kulaks which were rich famers they thought they
were the ones who led to the uprise or the expensiveness of the good in the
market and in industries.
6. Continuation…..
So this led to food shortages since now the food was not enough to feed the
families.
The peasants were also growing just enough grain to give their families therefore
there was no food to sell to other countries.
This affected many Russians a lot because people died because of hunger and
starvation.
Many people were also abused by Bolsheviks one way or the other .
Many homes were destroyed because even workers at work they were not getting
enough .
