Scientists fill an over crowded laboratory in the process ofcreating new
genetically modified food. The horrifying scene displays a cow’s body
connected to a turkey’s head, while being cut open for further testing.
Despite the bloody scene other scientist are forming a line for their crack at
the wacky equipment on their already restrained animals.
Sue began her journey creating these works of art at ten years old when she
witnessed a pig escaping from a slaughterhouse. Over time she became a
well know activist against animal cruelty. Her ‘Porkopolis’ series is expired
by her visits to 15 slaughterhouses where she saw animals being killed and
tortured.

The average American will consume about 350 animals in the span of ten
years. Each correspondingspecies are all represented in the print. The giant
oversized turkey symbolizes the slaughterhouses of major meat companies
with a dollar sign tattoo showing it is a billion dollar industry. As the
animals are lead to their death the faces of these animals seem yet puzzled
and scared as they wait to be boiled and packaged for sale.
Sue was inspired by the over demand of meat intake when she created this
piece. It began with the increase in the amount of animals being killed to
feed the average American. As people start to over consume food the
amount of cattle killed increases despite the number of people eating meat.
