Driven by passion for the Marine environment, my goal or future was established by the age of 15 when I sought insight into
relevant experience working with Australian fisheries officers from Eden district on the far south coast of NSW.
Since then, such skills indetailed report writing, my athletic ability and sound judgment of interpreting and adjusting to
complex situations have provided myself with the necessary skills to undertake any task given.
A team leader with the understanding and experience in all boating activities both commercially and recreationally and
licenses and certificates to prove my ability. My specific skill set have been altered to provide myself with the best possible
chance in achieving my goal to work within the Department of Agriculture and Fisheries,
With an interesting, engaging and motivated personality. I see myself becoming a great asset for any department or
organisation. I occupy the drive and appropriate attitude well suited to inflict policy. I also have to offer my ability to apply
and build professional expertise, strategic thinking, personal courage, risk assessment, sound judgment, intelligence and
common sense to every day tasks.
If given the opportunity I am positive that I will give 100%. I will listen, learn and ensure that your work ethic will be
displayed in my actions and in turn, reflect extremely well for your business or organisation. If it means that I have to
undertake further experience to suit the particular workforce I would happily accept and persue the appropriate actions to
enable myself to potentially be the perfect candidate for this specific job type.
I do hope you will consider me as a potential employee and I would hope to hear from you in the near future regarding any

Experience
Researcher- Population Dynamics
Into the final year of my Marine Science degree a subject under the name of Fisheries Assessment was a fundamental
component to the life and future of all marine species. This subject was vitally important as it gave a significantly detailed
insight into how to conduct scientifically valid research experiments, gathering evidence on the life span or age of a species,
length, maturity and fecundity to determine the overall future abundance of marine species. This specific subject can be
utilised in all marine substrate environments especially coral reef ecosystems.
Researcher -Fisheries Assessment
As a researcher, along with 7 other colleagues my objective was to gather significantly detailed information from
demersal trawls from the east coastline of Tasmania on the Australian Maritime Research vessel “The Bluefin”. Our goal was to
conduct a number of trawls based on specific GPS locations to identify what fish species, size, abundance and the substrate
types of which they inhabited. Having known the procedures of what is to be conducted on board a vessel learnt in a subject I
studied at University called Fisheries Gears and Operations it was the first hand experience that brought out the elements of
safety, real life commercial fishing and research experience via specie and substrate identification, measuring and counts of
their abundance.
Ive also conducted other commercial fishing activities including long lining for Gummy Shark and other pelagic shark
species where experience was gained in baiting hooks, setting of the gear, retrieval of the gear, appropriate euthanising of
shark species and seafood processing. For Crustaceans I have relevant experience in setting traps for Giant Crabs off the shelf
and pot setting in close for Red Rock Lobster in South East of Tasmania.
