CO-OPP
We believe that the MIG should support because it is not worth the fight, relate back to the tobacco industry, could cause damage to the industry and MIG’s reputation. Huge spread of publicity from the tobacco case back in 1998 with Councilwoman Ortega, could receive backlash if this regulation/motion is fought and challenged. Ethics also of advertising to kids, vulnerable population, they may not know what this all is and they are also easily influenced. In order to garner more community support, the MIG needs to go along with this if they want to become more accepted in the community in the future
