Belden – Student Consultant Jan 2015 – May 2015
● Analyzed consecutive sales incentives plans to determine improvements and weaknesses of the current sales
incentives plan.
● Recommended improvements to Belden’s sales quota setting process and the sales compensation plan.
Improvements included switching from a top-down approach of quota setting to an opportunities centric
focus and removing caps on sales compensation.
● Examined sales data and market factors to determine how impactful certain market conditions affect the
employee’s ability to make sales.
Avanti Environmental – In-House Consultant/Technical Writer Jul 2014 – Aug 2014
● Consulted the Vice President of Operations to develop a training system for employees.
● Created leadership training material to teach experienced oil inspectors how to train newer inspectors.
● Paraphrased oil regulation laws to make them easier for laypersons to understand.
Cal Poly Psychology Department – Research Assistant Jan 2013 – Dec 2013
● Conducted social psychology experiments to ascertain why women are underrepresented in STEM (Science,
Technology, Engineering, and Math) fields and how stereotype threat affects performance.
● Organized and transferred data that permitted data analysis of experiments.

Big Brothers Big Sisters (BBBS) of San Luis Obispo - Program Assistant Jun 2013 – Dec 2013
● Initiated a partnership between BBBS of San Luis Obispo and the Food Bank of San Luis Obispo that
resulted in over 100 students receiving food. The partnership reduced food costs by 80%.
● Analyzed survey results to publicize the organization’s effectiveness, resulting in more donations.
● Published articles that informed stakeholders about the agency and educated volunteers on how to have an
impact in the lives of the kids they were mentoring.
● For Excel, wrote a procedural manual that reduced time to execute data analysis from several hours to less
than half an hour.
Avanti Environmental – Technical Writer Aug 2012 – Dec 2012
● Analyzed and simplified laws of various regions to instruct gas inspectors on regional similarities and
differences.
● Successfully provided standardized documents (charts and tables), enabling faster, more efficient inspector
training.
● Constructed a project plan to integrate business operations, regional laws, and the company website.
2. Cal Poly Student Life and Leadership – Student Coordinator Apr 2011 – Apr 2012
● Managed a budget of over $15,000 which was utilized to help increase racial diversity at Cal Poly.
● Led event planning for a program involving over 400 college students and 200 prospective students, and
presented event planning information weekly to 100-400 students. Cal Poly’s yield for the 200 prospective
students who attended the weekend-long program was 80% (the overall yield for the school was 32%).
● Wrote and edited the proposal letters for donations, resulting in $3,000 more for the program.
● Conducted meetings with financial sponsors, Department Chairs and College Deans.

projects to perform, what financial structure to utilize, and what acquisitions to make.

● Utilized MySQL to determine the correlation between several popular companies’ stock prices and their
quarterly financial reports. No correlation was found.
● Produced and analyzed data structures to store, retrieve, and manipulate data efficiently.

● Created optimizations in Excel to determine which warehouse locations a company should use.
