SUMMARY
A seasoned fundraising and estate planning professional with charitable giving and tax
law background, Mr. Harrison has worked in Development and Fundraising for over
twenty years. In addition, Mr. Harrison is a California licensed attorney having practiced
in the area of estate and charitable planning, advising both not-for-profits as well as
individuals. Prior to practicing law, he was a Pastor and Missionary involved in church
planting. Later Mr. Harrison became a financial planner specializing in estate and
charitable planning. Mr. Harrison has previously served as the Assistant Vice-President
for Endowment Development and Estate Planning at California State University, Long
Beach, directing the program for the second largest public university in California. Mr.
Harrison was an estate planning and tax attorney with Brown & Streza, LLP in Irvine,
California working with medium to high net worth clients. More recently, Mr. Harrison
served as a Senior Executive Director for Gift Planning with World Vision. He is
currently employed with Hume Lake Christian Camps, Inc. as the Director of Gift and
Estate Planning, having created in five years a legacy program with two hundred donor
families. For nearly ten years, Mr. Harrison was a faculty member for the American
Institute for Philanthropic Studies at California State University, Long Beach, which
grants the national Certified Specialist in Planned Giving professional designation.
